What Does Dance Mean To Me Essay
The quote, "Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another," has a lots of meaning to me. It shows that you need to focus
more of what your heart is telling you while dancing, oppose to focusing more on the choreography. Some dancers never learn this and end up giving
up on dancing. Others, connect to it right off the bat. I was one of those people.
Ever since I was younger I have always wanted to be a professional ballerina, or any type of professional dancer. Growing up, I have always looked up
to my dance teachers. Although they aren't professionals, they appear just as good to me. Most dancers, from ballet to hiphop, dream of being a
professional some day. Another dream of mine that this quote reminds me of is...show more content...
Even if you are not the most advanced dancer you still need to try just as hard, maybe even harder. If you put full effort into it, you will be successful,
That goes for every sport.
When I was in the fifth grade I tore the cartilage in my right knee and ended up having surgery. Sixth grade year I wanted to go back into ballet,
although my knee wasn't strong enough. That plan worked for about a good month because my knee ended up being strong enough, I took all
dance off my sixth grade year and did not go back to a real studio for dance until this year. I felt as if I would be behind, but turns out I was ready to be
put back onto pointe. The point is, you never know if you will succeed unless you try first.
Emotion takes a huge part in every single style of dance. It's way more interesting to watch someone who changes their facial expression than
someone who has no, or doesn't change their face. It also adds another feature to the dancing, like another part of the costume. Facials also allow you to
tell a story in more ways than motions. All judges and most dance instructors and other dancers can tell when you don't put emotion into your

Essay About Myself as a Writer
I don't consider myself a very good writer. I write when I am made to or when I have something that I need to say that I can't just tell someone. I
keep a diary. Usually my diary is just a record of what I have done that day. It's not so much about my feelings. I don't really like talking about my
feelings, usually because most of the time I am confused about what exactly I am feeling. I tend to keep the feelings that I do have to myself, to protect
myself from getting hurt.
I didn't have that many close friends in high school. I always was just kind of there. I was no one important. Everyone seems to have his or her place
in this world of high school and it seemed that my place was on the outside that I...show more content...
When I started my high school, I found my current best friend, Marie. We are still friends to this day; she just left for college at George Mason. So once
again I'm not with my best friend.
I'm not trying to make my life all depressing because it hasn't been all bad. And I realize that people have had things a lot worse happen to them, in
their lives, and I should be thankful for what I have. But no matter what I have I just never seem truly happy. I always have this front up, and it
seems like everything is going great, but deep inside, I'm falling apart. This comes out in my writing, and I think that writing is a good release from
all of this. I always try to do my best when it comes to my class work and my writing, but I know that my writing isn't the best by any means. I
always find it important to the best job that I can do, on school work and also in life.
I think that a lot of what got me through writing papers in middle and high school was my mom. She was so great about reading over and correcting
my papers. She stayed up many nights doing that for me. Not because she had to, but because she wanted to help me. There were so many other
things she could have been doing, but instead she was helping me, and that means a lot to me. I'm kind of nervous about doing this all on my own. I'm
excited thought o see what I can do on my own. I am so excited about starting new here, with a clean slate. I think that

3 Words To Describe Me Essay
My three words used to describe me are unique, tenacious and passionate. I grew up in a below middle class, small home on the outside of
Richmond, Virginia. Back in the late 70's and 80's more freedom was given to kids in small neighborhoods to run free for most of the day. The
neighborhood was old with faded colored homes, a token pale red Lincoln Towne Car that had a subtle whisper that echoed when Mr. McDaniel
turned into his drive way and a beautiful plum tree at the end of the block that smelled of a local farmers market. The neighborhood housed many
children but the bulk of kids my age were boys. Spending my days with these kids would lend to modeled behavior and a sought after
independence. I would allow myself to wrestle and come home covered in dried red clay that would smell of childhood sweat. These boys taught me
to be tough and forge my way through my childhood fighting for my identity. Dressing myself was a requirement and matching was not always
necessary with my deep cobalt blue jacket and my cherry red Coca–Cola sun glasses. Luckily, it was in the early 80's where style was...show more

Passion is intense and direct but deeply personal. My approach to love is the beauty of the sun rising on a summer day, the shaved chocolate that
tickles your lip when you bite a Godiva truffle or the feel of a freshly pressed 100% cotton dress shirt. I love who I am when my heart connects
with another. My career passion inhances the best part of my drive for success. I approach my constant need for information like someone taking
dictation, with a need for detail. Software challenges, task changes and time management push me to be my best. My art speaks through the painted
red lips of a 50's burlesque dancer. It's beautiful yet delicate, revealing to the eye but vulnerable to the subject and beautiful in cosmetic. You can see
the passion in my enotional release and feel the layers of proceasing each completed piece

What Does Writing Mean To Me Essay
Writing is important for the learners of any kind of language. People have different opinions about writing. Some people like writing whereas some

What Does It Mean To Me Essay
I think of myself as a caring, loving, compassionate, and empathetic person with a very strong work ethic.
I feel that both my personal and professional experience has given me the opportunity to be empathetic, and helpful to those I encounter on a daily basis.
Having a sense of real purpose, like compelling reasons, will provide me with the drive necessary to make my desired result a reality. There is a major
difference between simply having a dream, and having enough reasons to push myself through the inevitable obstacles that will stand between my
goals and myself.
There are many ways to achieve a result or outcome, but you must know why you are going after it. This way, if your first plan or attempt fails, you
will have the necessary drive to follow through and keep moving toward your ultimate vision.
Your purpose gives you the emotional reasons why you want to follow through and do whatever it takes to create the outcome you desire. Whereas
an outcome (or result) produces focus, a purpose gives you drive. For example, it is one thing to say, "I want to become a Human Services Worker."
It is another thing to say, "I want to become a Human Services Worker because I...show more content...
If you talk too much, you will come across not only as talkative and insecure, but also a bad listener. A connection is formed when the person speaking
feels that the other person is listening and understands what he or she is going through or the point they are trying to make. When someone speaks,
they want you to be able to UNDERSTAND what they are going through. The reason why we relate further with our own experience is so that person
can be CERTAIN that you truly understand what they are going through. Understand, but don't judge Instead of making a judgment, accept that

What Do Sports Mean To Me Essay
Think sports and all the choices you made in sports. I am sure there is a lot of them. I mean everybody has or will make the choice to do sports. To
me sports benefit me in more ways than you can imagine. In the end though, there is always a con to sports and that is the problems it causes.
Atrocious, dreadful, and repugnant can all describe the problems on the road of sports. I for one love my free time during the midst of a day.
However, when I drag my feet through the door of my cozy house at the end of a long day of sports I am left with no time to spare. Between soccer,
karate, swimming, and basketball free time is pretty hard to find, even on weekends, so the choice was horrendous to give up my free time. Along

What I Learned About Myself Essay
This class has taught me a lot about myself in such a brief period of time. I never thought I could dig as deep as I did, and have a better
understanding of who I am as a person just by writing a single essay. I was not expecting the amount of self–awareness that I gained through this class.
I really enjoyed the hermit crab essays, because they really guided me to find my true feelings. It was hard for me to get started writing at first and then
once I got started, it was almost impossible to stop. I love the feeling that I am in control of what I am writing and there are no restrictions and that
I can be vulnerable in my writing. This class really helped me show the vulnerable side of who I am. I was sometimes moved to tears while I was
writing because, I realized things about myself that I never thought to be true before. I would get so excited that I would read it to my boyfriend,
family and friends. This class was in no way easy, but it was definitely worth it for many reasons. I learned how to become a better writer, I learned
about myself as a person, and I constructed pieces of writing that I didn't know I was capable of. Some assignments became easier as time went on
because I became a stronger writer. However, I think the hardest one for me was having to write about the room I was in. It didn't interest me because
it didn't help me dig deeper into my feelings or anything of that matter. I also didn't enjoy having to respond to different pieces of writing, because it

What Does Sociology Mean To Me Essay
Sociology helps explain why we are the way we are and why we do certain things. It shows us how our likes, dislikes, etc. have all stemmed from the
way that the world around us has taught us to think. Personally, sociology has helped me understand myself better by showing me that personality is
almost instinctual based on different life factors. This is different for everyone. We are constantly being told what to do, what to wear, what to eat, and
what to think. This leaves little to no room for originality or a personal sense of self. Understanding the meaning of sociology has given me the
opportunity to discover that many things that I think define me are actually beliefs that have been instilled in me from the society around me. Global

All I wanted when I was little was to have beautiful long hair. All of my dolls had hair down to their waist , and I longed to have hair like them.
Unfortunately for me, my hair did not grow very fast... at all. I was practically bald until I was three; and my hair was only about to my chin when
I was ready to start kindergarten. So there I was, on my first day at Foreign Language Academy. I was in SeГ±ora Vargas's Kindergarten class
holding on to my mom, dreading the moment she would have to leave. I had been really excited about starting school and getting to wear my navy
blue dress and my hellokitty backpack. Actually being in the classroom, however, incredibly nerve racking. Most of the parents were mingling and
asking questions to the teacher, while the kids tried to find their place. Some kids had already began to play games with one another. Others, like me,
were more shy, still clinging to their parent. In all the commotion, I noticed a girl who had the longest hair in the entire class of kindergartners. She
looked a lot like me except she had freckles, a pink cast on her arm, and the hair I had ever seen. Her hair was the same color as mine, but about
triple the length, and with more curl in it. Jealousy immediately swept over me. It seemed like this girl had everything I had ever wished for in my
entire life. I also thought casts were really cool at that time because I did not really understand that broken bones hurt, or that you couldn't really move

What Does Religion Mean To Me Essay
Growing up, church was never a huge aspect of my life, but it was always around me. My grandmother was a deeply religious Catholic, and many of
the kids on my street went to the church around the corner. Despite this, my mother never forced my sisters and I to go. She wanted us to choose our
own beliefs. The proximity to Christianity influenced what I believe in today. I believe in God and that he created everything in the observable
universe. The rest of the Bible, well, is debatable to me. Some call me an agnostic Christian, but the label doesn't matter. As long as I can find faith
and solace in something when I need it, I'm happy. What I ponder the most is the final chapter: death and the afterlife. What I hope is that everyone is

in my life. If you had asked me as a child what my heaven was, it would be being able to wrestle with my sister without getting injured for hours on
end. If you asked me after my grandmother died, it would be on her lap as I listened to childhood stories. A week later, I would have said Hell for

What Does Art Mean To Me Essay
Art is personal; an expression of inner thoughts and desires, affecting the way I not only see the world but myself. In order for a person to grow they
must know who they are, their aspirations, the true nature of their thoughts, and their actuality of their persona; the physicality of art has given me this
knowledge. With practicing in the arts I am able to grow as a person and I am able to see that growth within me. For with the expression of creativity,
comes an outlet, an outlet of the unconscious, forming and showing the reality of the mind. This outlet releases internal emotions and helps me to find
tranquility within myself. This state of mind is a supplement for my own personal problems. Also, I am able to create new ideas, ones that help me
see the world in a new light. I am able to form a relaxing and mesmerizing state of mind, one that leaves me fascinated with the world around me,
along with a deep love for simplicity. Visual arts have truly given me an insight on my own mind and happiness in my life. This is why I

Essay About Myself
There are three very important aspects that play a major rule in my life. They can be categorized as intellectual, social, and spiritual. My intellectual
self is interesting because I am mainly right–brained which means that I tend to use my creativity more than my mathematical skills, also making me
a visual learner. My social self consists of friends, family, and my surroundings. I spend most of my time at home with my family. Whenever I am
with my friends, I observe their behaviors and listen to their opinions. I am more of an independent type of person. Being with different people has
influenced me into appreciating different cultures and beliefs. I have learned things that have now been incorporated into my own set of beliefs and

memories are my mother reading to me, my grandfather playing his guitar, and my dad relentlessly teaching me how to ice skate, no matter how
many times I fell. The people who affect my social life the most are my family and friends. I have an extremely close family that has played a
major role in my life. They are whom I spend most of my spare time with. My family usually gathers every weekend for dinner. I am also very open
to different religions, cultures, and practices because I know many people with different backgrounds and beliefs. Since I've been influenced by
various people, I've learned at a very young age to never judge people by how they look, dress, feel, or act. I am very fortunate to have learned
these lessons, because many people still do not understand the importance of accepting differences. In a group, I prefer to listen to what others have
to say, and then contribute to the discussion. I try to listen so I am able to compare them to my own thoughts. I enjoy working in a group, because it
gives everyone an opportunity to incorporate their own ideas. My social self is most greatly influenced by my family and friends. I believe that my
spiritual self is the most important out of the three. Although I have a certain religion that I belong to and practice, I believe in a bit of

My parents have always strongly believed in religion, responsibility, and integrity. At a young age, they put these values into action. We always attend

I believe in living life how you want to, dancing like no one's watching, loving like you'll never be hurt, and living like heaven is on Earth. (I know
it's not an Original quote, nevertheless it fits in the essay.) One of the many beautiful aspects of mine is my love for the holidays such as,
Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's day, Groundhog Day etc. I would always dress for the occasion, a Bunny, Cupid, an Elf, you name
it because I loved the spirit and the mystical magic that it encompassess. Consequently, on those particular days, classmates would always badger me
with questions such as, "Why do you do this?" or, "How are you not embarrassed?", along with my favorite one, "Wow, don't you look cool," (hint
the condescending tone.) However, the negativity aforementioned to me does not influence how I feel about myself because if a person spends so
much of their life worrying about what people think and what they say, they will never find true happiness in life. Nowadays people exhaust
themselves with scraping their words of self–love against the minds of young individuals for generations and generations more to come with

What Does It Mean To Be Me Essay
My full name is David Grant Ho. I was born on August 19, 1995. Including myself, I come from a family of four, with my mother, and two older

personal quality that relates to the person that I am today is responsibility. I have always blamed others for my faults and misfortunes, and always
had someone and/or something to take the fault for me when I did something wrong. I was a very unsuccessful person in many aspects of life
because of this toxic mentality. Growing up, adults often spoke about being responsible. They use this word to describe the virtue of doing what you

What makes me, ME?
I was an ordinary girl , I wasn't a troublemaker if you will , I was quite and shy girl , but at the end of the day I felt an emptiness within myself , I was
just tired of following the beat of the world. Several times I can say that my sleep was gone and my heart was full of sorrow , I dread the pain that

never faced before it seems like all I can see was the struggle. I thought I could control whatever life would throw my way, but I found myself haunted
by ghosts that lived in my past bound up in shackles of all my failures wondering how long is this gonna last. That 's why I called on the Lord I knew
it had been awhile, But I asked Lord to please hear my prayer, I needed Him like I never have before. Then He look at this prisoner and say to me

whatever troubles me. I can freely say that I am redeemed, He had set me free, so I shake off my heavy chains, wipe away every stain now I 'm not
who I used to be, I am redeemed. All my life I have been called unworthy, named by the voice of my shame and regret, but when I hear His whisper,

Reflective Essay About Myself
Walking into my fifth grade classroom for the millionth time, I searched around the room to see if there was anyone like me. A girl with
chocolate skin. For as long as I can remember, I was the only one in my grade, ever since I started school. But this did not mean I did not have
friends. Caterina and I were best friends that year. She was from Venezuela, had white olive skin with long blonde hair, and light eyes. One school
day, when we were walking to P.E., she said to me "I like your hair because it stays in place." A little taken back, I was not sure if this a compliment
or not, but I said thank you anyway. Her comment had stayed with me for the rest of the day. I began to wonder why my hair grew the way it did
and if I could change it. This was, thus the beginning of my insecurities. Going to school every few months with a different hairstyle would raise a
few questions for my classmates. Different styles, such as, box braids and marley twists, would change my attitude because I no longer looked the
way I felt most of the time, ugly. But because I knew my look was only temporary, I did my best not to draw attention to myself. As I advanced
grades, I always hoped there would be someone like me. Not necessarily student. After fifth grade, I figured I might as well conquer eighth grade
alone. It would at least be nice to have a teacher to talk to about when I get angry about each day instead of keeping everything bottled up. A person "...

Interview About Me Essay
Interview about Me Rubi Garza Texas A&M International University The purpose for this interview assessment is to measure an individual's
personality by having two interviewees who know them very well answer questions about them. The Informant Report Data approach and the
qualitative method are used for this test. The reliability, validity, and generalization of the test are examined separately in order to see how effective
they are. The results provide characteristics of the individual and a reflection of their personal thoughts about the test. The findings concluded low
degree of reliability and validity. The generalizability of the assessment was found to be moderately applicable to others. In my reflection, I concluded
a pattern from the Self interview assessment and found motivation from my interviewees' answers. The type of data used for this test was the I–Data,

Keeper N Me By Richard Wagamese
'Keeper N Me ' by Richard Wagamese, is a novel based on the necessary balance between life and the culture in which one belongs to. This is a
necessary aspect in order to maintain a steady relationship with one 's self. In this novel passing on traditions or a certain way of life from generation to
generation is one of the most important aspects of guiding someone of the Ojibway culture, as the Ojibway people have very strong beliefs and take
their culture very seriously. The people of the Ojibway culture believe that through storytelling and dreams one can realize the importance of tradition
and its influence on their identity. Wagamese throughout his novel tries to teach the readers the power of one 's community and traditions as he...show

The Ojibway honour the traditional way of storytelling as a guide in which it provides a way to pass on words of wisdom and tradition from one

of families are determined by the community in which they live and the cultural tradition from which they come." In Keeper 'n me, Garnet was
taken away from his family and placed in numerous different white foster homes starting from the age of three; " ' everywhere they moved me I was
the only Indian and no one ever took the time to tell me who I was, where I came from of even what the hell was going on. '" (16) Because he was

How It Feels To Be Colored Me Essay
"How It Feels to Be a Colored Me"
The essay "How It Feels to Be Me" by Zora Neale Hurston was written to make known her life of a young colored girl who lived in Eatonville, Florida.
Zora, who grew up in an almost exclusively black town, had no problem with a person's race, including her own. As a matter a fact, she preferred
being colored. She says "It's thrilling to think – to know that for any act of mine, I shall get twice as much praise or twice as much blame." In Zora's
mind, the color of a person's skin is merely that, nothing else. Towards the end, she elaborates more on her perspective ofrace. She refers to each race as
a colored bag and herself a brown bag. Zora explains that each bag possesses its own content, which represents characteristics...show more content...
As she says in her text "My personal goal in my public life is to try to replace the old pervasive stereotypes and myths about Latinas with a much
more interesting set of realties." Also, anyone feeling the pressure or anger of stereotypical judgment brought on by society due to the media or
ignorant minds would be interested in this essay. Throughout the essay she shares moments in her life where someone has taken her to be something
that she is not because of the way she looked or talked and how she positively handled every situation. Anyone who has been in her situation or
anything similar might also have found her stories useful and applicable to their personal lives.
By the time the reader has finished reading this essay the author hopes she has established a universal truth which will push her audience to look past
not only her own but the skin color, accent, or clothes, but that of any Latin American women. Once this essay has been read, the author calls her
readers to look past passes he physical features and to shoo away any misconstrued ideas of her or any other Latinas from stereotypes or unpopular
beliefs and to replace them with relevant realities and opinions which were fairly

The Best Possible Version Of Myself Essay
I 'm not perfect, but I 'm becoming the best possible version of myself. At first I was very ashamed of myself, for multiple reasons, but mainly
because I haven't graduated college, that I had fallen behind my peers. However, I have nothing to be embarrassed about. Everyone's path is
different. I was a "know it all," I thought I had everything figured out, but I was wrong. Failure was something I had never experienced until I was
completely on my own. Honestly, when I got to college I wanted to be a teacher, then I realized the world was a fucked–up place and I needed to do
more. I switched my major to political science. I was happy with the switch, but then I notice something was wrong with me, it wasn't just the world. I
always felt different, the way I process emotions and interact with people was a little abnormal. This became more apparent when I entered college.
In 2014, I was officially diagnosed with Bi–polar Disorder. I thought "you know what I have this mental illness, I can't live life. I was scared and
confused. I pushed my boyfriend, friends, and mother away. The only thing I had left were my negative thoughts and countless bottles of alcohol that
made going to sleep a little easier. There was a point of time where I was so overwhelmed with anxiety that I feared leaving my bedroom. I wanted to
take my life and tried several times. The saddest part of it all was I never really wanted to kill myself, I just thought it was my only opposition to
escape the pain. I

What Does Dance Mean To Me Essay

  • 1. What Does Dance Mean To Me Essay The quote, "Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another," has a lots of meaning to me. It shows that you need to focus more of what your heart is telling you while dancing, oppose to focusing more on the choreography. Some dancers never learn this and end up giving up on dancing. Others, connect to it right off the bat. I was one of those people. Ever since I was younger I have always wanted to be a professional ballerina, or any type of professional dancer. Growing up, I have always looked up to my dance teachers. Although they aren't professionals, they appear just as good to me. Most dancers, from ballet to hiphop, dream of being a professional some day. Another dream of mine that this quote reminds me of is...show more content... Even if you are not the most advanced dancer you still need to try just as hard, maybe even harder. If you put full effort into it, you will be successful, That goes for every sport. When I was in the fifth grade I tore the cartilage in my right knee and ended up having surgery. Sixth grade year I wanted to go back into ballet, although my knee wasn't strong enough. That plan worked for about a good month because my knee ended up being strong enough, I took all dance off my sixth grade year and did not go back to a real studio for dance until this year. I felt as if I would be behind, but turns out I was ready to be put back onto pointe. The point is, you never know if you will succeed unless you try first. Emotion takes a huge part in every single style of dance. It's way more interesting to watch someone who changes their facial expression than someone who has no, or doesn't change their face. It also adds another feature to the dancing, like another part of the costume. Facials also allow you to tell a story in more ways than motions. All judges and most dance instructors and other dancers can tell when you don't put emotion into your Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Essay About Myself as a Writer I don't consider myself a very good writer. I write when I am made to or when I have something that I need to say that I can't just tell someone. I keep a diary. Usually my diary is just a record of what I have done that day. It's not so much about my feelings. I don't really like talking about my feelings, usually because most of the time I am confused about what exactly I am feeling. I tend to keep the feelings that I do have to myself, to protect myself from getting hurt. I didn't have that many close friends in high school. I always was just kind of there. I was no one important. Everyone seems to have his or her place in this world of high school and it seemed that my place was on the outside that I...show more content... When I started my high school, I found my current best friend, Marie. We are still friends to this day; she just left for college at George Mason. So once again I'm not with my best friend. I'm not trying to make my life all depressing because it hasn't been all bad. And I realize that people have had things a lot worse happen to them, in their lives, and I should be thankful for what I have. But no matter what I have I just never seem truly happy. I always have this front up, and it seems like everything is going great, but deep inside, I'm falling apart. This comes out in my writing, and I think that writing is a good release from all of this. I always try to do my best when it comes to my class work and my writing, but I know that my writing isn't the best by any means. I always find it important to the best job that I can do, on school work and also in life. I think that a lot of what got me through writing papers in middle and high school was my mom. She was so great about reading over and correcting my papers. She stayed up many nights doing that for me. Not because she had to, but because she wanted to help me. There were so many other things she could have been doing, but instead she was helping me, and that means a lot to me. I'm kind of nervous about doing this all on my own. I'm excited thought o see what I can do on my own. I am so excited about starting new here, with a clean slate. I think that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. 3 Words To Describe Me Essay My three words used to describe me are unique, tenacious and passionate. I grew up in a below middle class, small home on the outside of Richmond, Virginia. Back in the late 70's and 80's more freedom was given to kids in small neighborhoods to run free for most of the day. The neighborhood was old with faded colored homes, a token pale red Lincoln Towne Car that had a subtle whisper that echoed when Mr. McDaniel turned into his drive way and a beautiful plum tree at the end of the block that smelled of a local farmers market. The neighborhood housed many children but the bulk of kids my age were boys. Spending my days with these kids would lend to modeled behavior and a sought after independence. I would allow myself to wrestle and come home covered in dried red clay that would smell of childhood sweat. These boys taught me to be tough and forge my way through my childhood fighting for my identity. Dressing myself was a requirement and matching was not always necessary with my deep cobalt blue jacket and my cherry red Coca–Cola sun glasses. Luckily, it was in the early 80's where style was...show more content... Passion is intense and direct but deeply personal. My approach to love is the beauty of the sun rising on a summer day, the shaved chocolate that tickles your lip when you bite a Godiva truffle or the feel of a freshly pressed 100% cotton dress shirt. I love who I am when my heart connects with another. My career passion inhances the best part of my drive for success. I approach my constant need for information like someone taking dictation, with a need for detail. Software challenges, task changes and time management push me to be my best. My art speaks through the painted red lips of a 50's burlesque dancer. It's beautiful yet delicate, revealing to the eye but vulnerable to the subject and beautiful in cosmetic. • 4. What Does Writing Mean To Me Essay Writing is important for the learners of any kind of language. People have different opinions about writing. Some people like writing whereas some don't like. For me, I love and enjoy writing even though I am not a good writer. I love writing because of some reason such as writing improve our skills, helps to correct our errors and helps to identify our weakness or strength about writing. Writing helps to improve our writing skills. I am struggling with verb form and verb tense. I am sure that if I use my time wisely in verb tense then definitely I will get success. • 5. What Does It Mean To Me Essay I think of myself as a caring, loving, compassionate, and empathetic person with a very strong work ethic. I feel that both my personal and professional experience has given me the opportunity to be empathetic, and helpful to those I encounter on a daily basis. Having a sense of real purpose, like compelling reasons, will provide me with the drive necessary to make my desired result a reality. There is a major difference between simply having a dream, and having enough reasons to push myself through the inevitable obstacles that will stand between my goals and myself. There are many ways to achieve a result or outcome, but you must know why you are going after it. This way, if your first plan or attempt fails, you will have the necessary drive to follow through and keep moving toward your ultimate vision. Your purpose gives you the emotional reasons why you want to follow through and do whatever it takes to create the outcome you desire. Whereas an outcome (or result) produces focus, a purpose gives you drive. For example, it is one thing to say, "I want to become a Human Services Worker." It is another thing to say, "I want to become a Human Services Worker because I...show more content... If you talk too much, you will come across not only as talkative and insecure, but also a bad listener. A connection is formed when the person speaking feels that the other person is listening and understands what he or she is going through or the point they are trying to make. When someone speaks, they want you to be able to UNDERSTAND what they are going through. The reason why we relate further with our own experience is so that person can be CERTAIN that you truly understand what they are going through. Understand, but don't judge Instead of making a judgment, accept that person's point–of–view. You are not being submissive and weak –willed. • 6. What Do Sports Mean To Me Essay Think sports and all the choices you made in sports. I am sure there is a lot of them. I mean everybody has or will make the choice to do sports. To me sports benefit me in more ways than you can imagine. Between soccer, karate, swimming, and basketball free time is pretty hard to find, even on weekends, so the choice was horrendous to give up my free time. • 7. What I Learned About Myself Essay This class has taught me a lot about myself in such a brief period of time. I never thought I could dig as deep as I did, and have a better understanding of who I am as a person just by writing a single essay. I was not expecting the amount of self–awareness that I gained through this class. I really enjoyed the hermit crab essays, because they really guided me to find my true feelings. It was hard for me to get started writing at first and then once I got started, it was almost impossible to stop. I love the feeling that I am in control of what I am writing and there are no restrictions and that I can be vulnerable in my writing. This class really helped me show the vulnerable side of who I am. I was sometimes moved to tears while I was writing because, I realized things about myself that I never thought to be true before. I would get so excited that I would read it to my boyfriend, family and friends. This class was in no way easy, but it was definitely worth it for many reasons. I learned how to become a better writer, I learned about myself as a person, and I constructed pieces of writing that I didn't know I was capable of. Some assignments became easier as time went on because I became a stronger writer. However, I think the hardest one for me was having to write about the room I was in. It didn't interest me because it didn't help me dig deeper into my feelings or anything of that matter. I also didn't enjoy having to respond to different pieces of writing, because it Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. What Does Sociology Mean To Me Essay Sociology helps explain why we are the way we are and why we do certain things. It shows us how our likes, dislikes, etc. have all stemmed from the way that the world around us has taught us to think. Personally, sociology has helped me understand myself better by showing me that personality is almost instinctual based on different life factors. This is different for everyone. We are constantly being told what to do, what to wear, what to eat, and what to think. This leaves little to no room for originality or a personal sense of self. Understanding the meaning of sociology has given me the opportunity to discover that many things that I think define me are actually beliefs that have been instilled in me from the society around me. • 9. Narrative Essay Kindergarten All I wanted when I was little was to have beautiful long hair. All of my dolls had hair down to their waist , and I longed to have hair like them. Unfortunately for me, my hair did not grow very fast... at all. I was practically bald until I was three; and my hair was only about to my chin when I was ready to start kindergarten. So there I was, on my first day at Foreign Language Academy. I was in SeГ±ora Vargas's Kindergarten class holding on to my mom, dreading the moment she would have to leave. I had been really excited about starting school and getting to wear my navy blue dress and my hellokitty backpack. Actually being in the classroom, however, incredibly nerve racking. Most of the parents were mingling and asking questions to the teacher, while the kids tried to find their place. Some kids had already began to play games with one another. Others, like me, were more shy, still clinging to their parent. In all the commotion, I noticed a girl who had the longest hair in the entire class of kindergartners. She looked a lot like me except she had freckles, a pink cast on her arm, and the hair I had ever seen. Her hair was the same color as mine, but about triple the length, and with more curl in it. Jealousy immediately swept over me. It seemed like this girl had everything I had ever wished for in my entire life. I also thought casts were really cool at that time because I did not really understand that broken bones hurt, or that you couldn't really move Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. What Does Religion Mean To Me Essay Growing up, church was never a huge aspect of my life, but it was always around me. My grandmother was a deeply religious Catholic, and many of the kids on my street went to the church around the corner. Despite this, my mother never forced my sisters and I to go. She wanted us to choose our own beliefs. The proximity to Christianity influenced what I believe in today. I believe in God and that he created everything in the observable universe. The rest of the Bible, well, is debatable to me. Some call me an agnostic Christian, but the label doesn't matter. As long as I can find faith and solace in something when I need it, I'm happy. Even my own personal heaven is shifting constantly, based on what I believe I deserve at that point in my life. If you had asked me as a child what my heaven was, it would be being able to wrestle with my sister without getting injured for hours on end. If you asked me after my grandmother died, it would be on her lap as I listened to childhood stories. A week later, I would have said Hell for not listening to more of them. Right now, my heaven is a road trip's summer night. Great music with great people on the highway is a lovely way to spend a teenage eternity. • 12. Essay About Myself There are three very important aspects that play a major rule in my life. They can be categorized as intellectual, social, and spiritual. My intellectual self is interesting because I am mainly right–brained which means that I tend to use my creativity more than my mathematical skills, also making me a visual learner. My social self consists of friends, family, and my surroundings. I spend most of my time at home with my family. Whenever I am with my friends, I observe their behaviors and listen to their opinions. I am more of an independent type of person. Being with different people has influenced me into appreciating different cultures and beliefs. The people who affect my social life the most are my family and friends. I have an extremely close family that has played a major role in my life. They are whom I spend most of my spare time with. My family usually gathers every weekend for dinner. I am also very open to different religions, cultures, and practices because I know many people with different backgrounds and beliefs. Since I've been influenced by various people, I've learned at a very young age to never judge people by how they look, dress, feel, or act. I am very fortunate to have learned these lessons, because many people still do not understand the importance of accepting differences. In a group, I prefer to listen to what others have to say, and then contribute to the discussion. I try to listen so I am able to compare them to my own thoughts. I enjoy working in a group, because it gives everyone an opportunity to incorporate their own ideas. My social self is most greatly influenced by my family and friends. I believe that my spiritual self is the most important out of the three. Although I have a certain religion that I belong to and practice, I believe in a bit of Get more content on HelpWriting.net

(I know it's not an Original quote, nevertheless it fits in the essay.) One of the many beautiful aspects of mine is my love for the holidays such as, Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's day, Groundhog Day etc. I would always dress for the occasion, a Bunny, Cupid, an Elf, you name it because I loved the spirit and the mystical magic that it encompassess. Consequently, on those particular days, classmates would always badger me with questions such as, "Why do you do this?" or, "How are you not embarrassed?", along with my favorite one, "Wow, don't you look cool," (hint the condescending tone.) However, the negativity aforementioned to me does not influence how I feel about myself because if a person spends so much of their life worrying about what people think and what they say, they will never find true happiness in life. For as long as I can remember, I was the only one in my grade, ever since I started school. But this did not mean I did not have friends. Caterina and I were best friends that year. She was from Venezuela, had white olive skin with long blonde hair, and light eyes. One school day, when we were walking to P.E., she said to me "I like your hair because it stays in place." A little taken back, I was not sure if this a compliment or not, but I said thank you anyway. Her comment had stayed with me for the rest of the day. I began to wonder why my hair grew the way it did and if I could change it. This was, thus the beginning of my insecurities. Different styles, such as, box braids and marley twists, would change my attitude because I no longer looked the way I felt most of the time, ugly.
