5. Wealth and Beautiful young women.
Belinda is really as virtuous as she seems.
She’s actually a bit of slippery character to
come to terms with, as the reader is provided
with relatively little access to her inner
thoughts, and her action are often governed
by supernatural forces.
Fundamentally, as her name suggests with ,its
literal meaning of “Beautiful”all readers can
really known about Belinda is that she is
attaractive.
Character of Belinda
6. Character of Clarissa
•A virtuous young Women.
•Clarissa is noted for her exceptional
beauty, virtue, and accomplishments.
•She is a moral and a person with a very
strong moral compass.

her kindness, and she helps the poor.
•She delivers a speech about hoe physical
beauty is ultimately fleeting and that instead
women should concentrate on beings as
morally upright as they possibly can.

●First encounters Clarissa by name, she is slipping the fateful scissors to
the Baron, enabling him to commit his atrocity against Belinda.
Clarissa remains her :
“how vain are all these Glories, all our pains,
Unless good sense preserve what Beaurty gains”.
Clarissa, a man is a fool to desire woman for beauty alone, and a woman is
fool to demonstrate nothing but beauty in order to attract him.

no virtue,for it is fleeting.

soul.”
