This document summarizes a cranberry cooperative's issues with inconsistent wet and dry harvest yields causing bottlenecks in berry processing. In the short term, implementing a truck schedule, adding holding bins for wet cranberries, and installing a new grading system were proposed. Long term, adding two new dryers and temporary storage was suggested to reduce wait times for trucks. The conclusion was that removing bottlenecks and increasing early processing would have an impressive return on investment.

• National cranberry cooperative were not properly
addressed in new capital made in 1995, due to previous
$200,000 investment.
• Suppliers are upset at the additional cost and idle time of
truck deliveries.
• Based on predicted harvest makeup of 70% wet berries.,
Rp1 need to be argemented to accommodate wet capacities
through additional capital expenditure or labour expense .
• In berry harvests from year to year in terms of wet and dry
composition, it may be more practical to keep costs low.

storage space to reduce hack wait time to 0-20
min.
• RP1 into a revenue maker is the off-harvester

increase the seasonal worker.
