2. Research and Planning
Introduction:
Research and planning is vital when creating a film opening as you
have to have a blueprint of how everything is going to be produced
and how it is going to be produced. In the early stages, we had to
research about what genre we wanted our film to be.
What we did:
As a group, we used “Webs” as our main source of implementing all of
our research and planning.Using webs allowed us to import videos
from YouTube and pictures from Google. Webs also allow us to import
presentations from “Prezi”, which was also a source of doing our
research and planning.
3. What kind of research did you do?
As our genre was urban grime/drama, we had a variety of DVDs
and films to watch and get ideas from. Firstly, we all individually
went to do get our own ideas about the genre and basic clips and
shot that are included in our genre.We then all put our ideas
together and had an idea of what we want our film opening to be
like.We all did our research via YouTube. YouTube allowed us to
see film openings such “Lock stock and two smoking barrels”.We
also had the opportunity to watch the film opening of “Snatch” via
DVD.
