2. Blogger
Blogger has enabled us to organize and set out are work in a different
way; blogger has many different elements which helps set out the work
in the correct order and to group it into categories depending on the
topic. “labels” is something which I have been using on blogger; it is a
way to put your blogs into a category so it is easy to look at when
going on my blog. One of the labels I have used is “planning” this is
where I put all the preparation for my film as it is easy to locate.
3. As well as being a site which is good for organizing work it
is also a social networking site; the fact that the site is a
social networking site it allows us to look at other peoples
work for ideas and inspiration and equally they can look at
yours. When people look on your work they also have the
chance to comment, this is a way for us to make
improvements and get opinions from a wide audience.
4. Youtube
Youtube is a way that we are able to
watch and share clips. Youtube has been
a big part of our media as it has allowed
us to get inspiration by watching other
media clips online.
Youtube is very helpful in the fact it allows
people tom comment and “like” or “dislike”
clips. This is a helpful thing for us as we can
get feedback and have a better understanding
of what our audience wants. This was also
useful to look at other film clips with the same
genre and see the comments people have left
which can influence our film.
Youtube was the inspiration for getting free music of
the internet. Having music adds to the film, it is one
of the best ways to add atmosphere. Having a
certain type of music in your head also helps when
filming as you know the effect that you are wanting
and this what youtube showed us.
5. This is an example of people who
IMBD rated a film on IMBD; this rating is
for Scream- a film we looked at.
IMBD is something which
was very helpful when
looking at our target
audience; IMBD allowed
us to look at film
descriptions and also the
audience they
successfully targeted.
One of the films we
looked at was scream
and we were able to find
out what audience type
watched the film the
most and this was
helpful in the way we
created ours as we knew
what audience watches
horror films, especially a
slasher like this.
6. Using digital camcorders
Using a digital camcorder was the way in
which we had to film our clips; this was
something that was essential and played a big
part in our production. Watching other horror
films helped show us the best ways to use the
camera; in many horror films there are scenes
of people running from a worms eye shot and
this is something we chose to use.
7. Using the Digital camcorders has
taught me a lot about how the
lighting and camera angles are so
important in a film. The use of
lighting can change the whole mood
of the scene and the camera angles
can show a lot about a character, for
example if you have a close up
shot, focusing on the characters face
then you can see a lot of expression
and find a lot out about the character
but if you have a long shot their facial
expressions will not be necessarily
the focus and therefore may want
you to not only focus on the person
but also the setting.
