11. How we learn
• In nursery all our learning is taken
from the children's interest and
ideas.
• At the moment we are looking at
settling children, snack routines
and being independent when
getting ready to go outside.
Editor's Notes
The Primary 1 teachers for next session will be: Mrs Smith & Miss O’Brien
Next session, we will again have 11 classes in the Primary School and two Nursery sessions.
The main school building is split up into three areas: Infant, Middle and Upper.
Our school is open plan with a number of learning bays in each area. If you had a more traditional experience of school yourself, you might be thinking, ‘How on earth can that work?’, but, believe me, it does.
There are times, of course, when classes want to do something noisy or need quiet for some activity and for that purpose, we have a Noisy/Quiet room in the middle area.
At present, your children are working with these teachers and getting to know their new surroundings and their classmates. During the tour a bit later on, you’ll get a chance to see how they’re doing.
