Automating Google Workspace (GWS) & more with Apps Script
Evaluation: Part 4
1.
2. I used variety of different softwares through out the research
stage such as....
This was one of the first stage in
research whereby I had to go
through in order to produce a
music video, by visiting this
website, www.unsigned.com this
site allowed me to find a suitable
artist and get an idea of how the
music video will look like and be
based on through some artist
research. This site holds a variety
of different artists and bands
including their information such as
contacts and their events, thus
making my job easier as i can
choose an artist based on what
type of genre I prefer and their
amount of experience
3. This search engine is widely used by many and
people have the opportunity to input information in
all types if things. This site enabled me to do some
research on the type of music industry that’s out the
there such as: EMI, Universal, Sony etc... And which
music industry will best suit my chosen artist.
YouTube played an important role on

the creation of my music video as I

on my artist.
4. Hotmail enabled my group and I to keep in touch with each
other as well as the artist whenever it was necessary we
sent each other ideas on how that music video would look
like and how to film each scene as well as scheduling dates
to shoot. This site is easy and quick to use and my group
and I made a good use of it by keeping each other updated
Through the use of Microsoft Word, where i
produced a treatment based on the lyrics of the
chosen song where I could quickly update, edit
whenever I wanted to and save documents on
my USB or send it via email.
5. Mobile phones also played a key role
in the planning stage where we kept
regular contact within the group as
well as the artist where we
scheduled filming shoot. For me, it
allowed me to write down ideas
whenever possible. Ultimately
allowing me to send what I wrote
down via message to the rest of my
group. Mobile phones was a very
convenient hardware for my group
and I as it is not time consuming nor
is it difficult to utilize.
6. I used Photoshop for all the work that is to be
included in my digipack such as: CD cover, booklet
and an advert. This software holds many different
types of tools and effects which I made use of.
However, this software was tricky to use I was not
familiar with the tools. Nonetheless, through practice
and time I started to understand how to use it. This
programme enable me to manipulate and enhance
my pictures to an extent where I was happy with.
During the editing stage my group and I used
Final Cut Pro as it specialises in editing tape and
video. This software enabled us to professionally
edit our music video by cutting down the tape to
small pieces as well as presenting us with a wide
range of effects which we made use of.
7. A digital camera was used to take several pictures of
locations where we decided to shoot our scenes. It
had a limit of 63 pictures and had a high quality lens
which is why the pictures come out looking
professionally and clear. We could also see things
clearly that we couldn't have seen to our naked eyes.
The camera also had a screen where we saw how the
pictures turned out as well as giving us the choice to
delete it is necessary as well as other choices such as
flash, black and white, mosaic etc.
We also used a video camera and unlike a digital
camera this type of camera enabled us to record our
scenes where our chosen locations where. This camera
allowed to record fast and steadily with the use of the
tripod. This camera captured all the scenes needed to
produce the music video and it also enabled us to
record over previous scenes when we weren't satisfied
with it
8. The DV tape is a storage device that's placed
inside the camera to store the captured
footage. This then made it possible to be read
on the computer enabling us to chose and edit
our scenes.
This is a camera reflector which was used
when there was not much sun around the
time we were shooting our scenes. This
tool allowed to receive some kind of
light, thus allowing us to get on with
filming without the need to reschedule due
to inconvenient weather.
This Apple Mac computer was the only computer
that was available for my group with the editing
software (Final Cut Pro). Both the Mac and the
software was difficult to use however, in time we
learnt how to use it sufficiently.
9. YouTube was used again. This time it
was for uploading the finish product, the
music video whereby the viewers have
the chance to like/dislike and comment.
Word Press was also used again. This time to
upload and update all my finish work, this
enabled my peers, teachers and others to view
my work whenever they wanted without the use
of restrictions.
This site allowed me to receive some public
feedback on my final project by simply
uploading them on this site in order to gain
some exposure and recognition.
10. Facebook is a social network that has over millions of
users worldwide. This site benefitted me as I can send
friends a YouTube link to the music video and asked
them to comment as well as giving the music video
exposure it also gives them the opportunity to share
the post to other people, thus, ultimately, leading to
more views and recognition as well as reaching a
wider audience.
This programme enabled me to produce
questionnaires as well as graphs and charts
based on feedbacks and questionnaire results.
This software is easy to use.
PowerPoint was used to present and evaluate my
project in a multimedia presentation. Simply put
this programme allowed me to use a wide range of
effects to present my work by combining pictures
and text to grab ones attention
11. The PC played the main role in the making
of my project, through the many use of
programmes it held as well as the internet
enabling me to access my blog and share
my work with others. It also allowed me to
access my work almost anywhere.
My USB stick allowed me easy access to my work
whenever I was in the go, I had the opportunity to
access my work whenever I wanted to and wherever
I was. This made the evaluation stage easy as I
could edit and access my work anywhere.
