3. SOMESYMPTOMS
▪ Shortness of breath
▪ Abnormal heart rhythm (arrhythmia)
▪ Swelling(edema)

▪ Congenital

5. MECHANISM
– working fibers of the myocardial tissue increase in size
– actin and myosin filaments failto overlap
– blood cannot be effectively pumped to the lungs to be re-oxygenated
