UTS undertook an ORCID integration project from 2015-2017 with the goal of increasing awareness and adoption of ORCIDs amongst academic and administrative staff. Senior leaders were enlisted to promote ORCIDs. Direct outreach was conducted to grant applicants and those with existing ORCID profiles linked to UTS. While remote Mac access to the research profiling system was initially problematic, over 500 ORCIDs were integrated before the consortium launch. Future plans included integrating ORCIDs into additional systems and onboarding processes for staff and students.
