4. Model answer
A very good morning to our Principal,
teachers and friends. In conjunction with the ‘I
Love My School’ Week, I would like to present a
speech entitled ‘Ways to Beautify Our School’.
The school is a place where we learn. We
spend a lot of time at the school. Hence, it is
important that we take good care of it so that
the school becomes a place where we can
learn, make friends and enjoy learning.
5. One of the easiest things that we can do is to
have plants around the school. We can plant flowers
and trees around the school. On top of that, we can
give old flower pots a new coat of paint. Not only will
that make the flower pots look new, it will also make
our school appear more cheerful.
Besides that, we can draw murals on the school
walls. Murals that display good values and words of
encouragement help to create a positive learning
environment.
6. We can also build a fish pond in strategic
places around the school. Visitors will feel welcome
and the soothing sounds of water flowing will create a
calming effect.
Last but not least, we can place more rubbish
bins around the school. By doing this, there will be no
reason for anyone to litter the school compound.
In conclusion, it is our responsibility to beautify
our school and ensure that it stays beautiful.
Thank you.

8. A community service
On 19 March, the Interact Club of our
school entertained children from the Indah
Orphanage. The Orphans were aged
between six and twelve.
The members of the club were
excited to meet these little visitors. They put
up bright and cheerful red, yellow, blue
and green balloons in Dewan Galaksi the
day before to welcome the children.
9. A fun filled day of activities was
arranged for the orphans. First, they were
treated to a scrumptious lunch sponsored
by Orion Café. After lunch, an art activity
was carried out to bring out the creativity of
the children. They designed their own T-shirts
and key chains. Apart from that, some of
the members played games with the
orphans. Others took charge of food and
drinks.
At the end of the event, the members
of the club felt a sense of pride and
satisfaction because they were able to
make the orphans feel happy and cheerful.
10. All in all, participating in this event gave the
club members a chance to have a better
understanding of the community they live in.

11. Stories
Write about an incident of a little girl who
is lost in a shopping mall you saw while
spending time with your family.
When writing your recount, you should:
-give details of the incident
-suggest ways to prevent losing children at
shopping malls
-write between 120-150 words
12. Last Saturday, my family and I went to the
Shopping Centre. We had just finished watching a
movie and were heading towards a restaurant
when I saw a little girl standing by her self. She
looked lost and had been crying. I told my family
about the little girl. My mother and I went towards
the little girl.
We took the girl to the management office.
A nice lady made an announcement about the
little girl. After ten minutes a woman came. She
looked very worried. When she ran to the little girl,
she looked very worried. The woman told us she
had been trying on clothes in the fitting room and
her daughter was outside.
13. She felt really bad for being so
careless.
In order to avoid losing a young child
at the shopping mall, parents should always
hold their child’s hand. They should also
make sure their child is with the mall the
time.
