1. WE.1 INCLINED DRILLING JIG WITH INDEXING
1. The jigs and fixtures mechanism
This mechanism is simple where involves the locating pin that used as stopper for the hole of components.
First, the locating pin being removed and move the workpiece or component until the hole coincides with
the axis of the drill bush. Next, Insertback the indexing pin and startto drill another hole through drill bush.
The step is repeated.

No. Components Functions
1. Inclined drill bush To drill holes that is 20 degrees
to the horizontal
2. Locating pin Acts as constraint in the rotation
of the component
3. Screw-type clamp To mounted the jigs on a welded
frame
4. Indexing pin To locking the arrangement of
the index plate against the
rotation
5. Index plate Acts as a base that fixed on pin
6. Gunmetal bush bearing To allow for 360 degreesrotation
3. Workpiece attachment
First insert the workpiece inside the welded frame and the workpiece was rotated until the drill hole is on
the same position of drill bush axis. Then, the workpiece was clamped on indexing plate by using a screw-
type clamp. The plate that contain workpiece was rotated about the centralpivot and clamped in the position
with hand knob. The movement was locked using indexing pin. Then, the first drilling process occurred.
To drill other holes on component, the indexing pin was removed and the workpiece is rotated until the
holes of workpiece is on the same axis as the drill bush holes, after that the indexing pin being insert back
to the index plate and start to drill another holes. The step is repated for next two holes.
