◦ There are 3 key points that pupils need to answer in the given stimulus. –
Always underline these 3 points!!
◦ It is important that pupils identify the 3 key points in order to write an accurate
reply to the email given.

◦ There are 4 categories a pupil work shall be assessed on:
Content
Communicative Achievement
Organisation
Language
There are 5 band scores for each category which carry marks ranges between 0 to 5.
9. THINGS TO FOCUS ON
◦ Always fulfill the task required by the question.
◦ Know your audience, what the question wants you to answer.
◦ Use the correct genre and register for the given task.
◦ Organise your writing using paragraphs, correct linking words and cohesive devices.
Use these 3 types of sentences – simple, compound and complex sentences.
◦ Focus on the grammatical aspects – correct use of basic vocabulary, spelling and
correct punctuation.
13. THINGS TO FOCUS ON
◦ After you write your email, take a few minutes to read what you’ve just written.
◦ Check for grammatical errors, cut unnecessary phrases, and rewrite sentences to be clearer.
◦ Do not forget your salutations and signing off.
◦ Use accurate and interesting phrases to attract your readers attention such as;
“I understand your frustration…”, or “Let me get strictly to the point…”.
