4.1 Height of the walls and
impact on lighting
The height of the noise barriers previously discussed
(May 4, 2016) was unchanged. Their height is based on acoustic
studies and not photometric studies.
4.2 Clarification on types of
trees replanted in the
Champlain Park
Mr. Fillion explained that a variety of trees would be planted and
not just one type.
4.3 Possibility of putting up an
ad on the new bridge at
the bridge's entry
One of the project's challenges is not attracting drivers' attention
to the work site, for reasons of driver safety. There had been talk
of putting up a visual barrier between the current bridge and work
site, but there were no realistic solutions.
4.4 Follow up with the City of
Brossard on extending the
noise barriers to the 132
for the Voltaire sector
Mr. Fillion reminded that SSL and IC had shown that the new
corridor project was not responsible for this area's sound climate,
and since the road noise was from Hwy-132, nothing was
planned for this sector.

4.9 Behind schedule The bridge's opening date remained December 1, 2018. SSLis
analyzing the impacts of and mitigation measures for recent work
stoppages.
4.10 Type of pavement for the
deck
The deck would be paved with asphalt.
