6. Grand Avenue Right Turn Lane
Residents were frustrated about existing backups going into Tim Hortons and
questioned whether roundabout would make backups worse. GHD looked at traffic
volumes and worked with Town and County staff, Tim Hortons, and Canadian Tire to
design a new southbound right turn lane
Roundabout Pedestrian Underpass
Safety was a key theme, especially for pedestrians at the roundabout. GHD
redesigned to roundabout to allow pedestrians walking along the trail to cross under
the bridge.
Frank Street Cul-de-Sac
Frank Street residents were not supportive of a laneway between Frank St. and
Saskatoon Ave. GHD consulted with Frank Street residents and worked with Town
and County staff to design a roundabout that minimized impacts to properties and
trees
