Frankenstein is a novel written by
Marry Shelley.
• Victor is a main character of the novel.
• He was born in Geneva.
• He is an
ambitious ,
intelligent and
hardworking
Scientist.

• He is completely obsessed with the concept of
reanimation or reawakening the dead, which is
just what he does create life from a corpse , and
it pretty much ruins his life.
• Victor
Frankenstein
is a young man
Of Romantic
Age.

• He wants to do something new. That’s why he
chooses science.
• He wanted to study the secrets of many
sciences.
• He takes a great interest in observing man and
in trying to learn more about his soul.
• He was interested in mystery.
• One day , a thunder storm struck the town

and when the lightning flashed, he saw a large tree
burnt up and reduced to thin pieces of wood. He
wanted to find out the mystery of this.
• So he became interested in the laws of electricity
and mathematics.
• The first professor whom he met at the university
was Mr. Krempe, whom he taught natural
sciences to Frankenstein. He was rough in
manner, but totally devoted to his science.

• Then Mr. Waldman was the professor who
taught him chemistry. He was a sweet natured
man in his fifties and praised the modern
sciences.
• Professor Waldman inspired Frankenstein to
invent something for the benefit of mankind.
• He advised Frankenstein to study all branches
of natural sciences including Mathematics.

• He became deeply interested in the various
sciences and read widely.
• As the time passed he was especially
attracted to the mystery of the human body.
• He has many questions in his mind, like What
power was it that gave life?
Where is the force, which gives life to the body?
• He wants find out the answers of these
questions.

• He wants to create human body in his laboratory.
• He wants to know
the secrets of human
life.
• He was eager to
know everything.
• He was curious.
• He wants to
become a creator.

• That’s why he went to the grave yards in search
of different parts of the human body like bones,
skull , hair etc. he collects the body parts.
• It was very difficult task putting together the very
thin veins and nerves of the human body , fixing
the bones, the cell and other tiny parts.
• He worked for days and nights for his creation
and he did not even notice when the seasons
changed.

• He is busy to
create human

himself.
• He lost contact
of family and
friends because
of his creation.

monster .
• Monster is 8 feet
long, with the help
of science he gives a
life to monster.
• Because of his ugly
look and huge body
Victor and people
does not accepts him.

• Monster wants love and support. But because
of his ugly look nobody accepts him.
• That’s why he is alone. He feels loneliness.
• Then he learns many thing. And he reads
paradise lost , and he reads the diary of victor.
• And then he knew everything.
• He decides to takes revenge. And then he kills
many persons who belongs to victor’s family

• Victor loves Elizabeth. Then he kills Elizabeth.
• Victor becomes alone.
• Monster wants female monster. But victor denies
to crates female monster. And that’s why monster
kills Elizabeth.
• In the whole story monster wants love and
support. But in story he does not get love and
support. And that’s why he became cruel and kills
many innocent people.
• Then at the end of the story victor also dead.
Conclusion……
• Frankenstein is the perfect tragic hero , or
character who is doomed to suffer due to his
own actions. Victor is selfish.
• He questions authority , and everything
surrounding him. He is highly intelligent ,
caring , and actually a good person , but it was
his ambition and God complex which
ultimately drove him to ruin.

Character Of Victor Frankenstein

  • 2. Frankenstein is a novel written by Marry Shelley. • Victor is a main character of the novel. • He was born in Geneva. • He is an ambitious , intelligent and hardworking Scientist.
  • 3. Continue…… • He is completely obsessed with the concept of reanimation or reawakening the dead, which is just what he does create life from a corpse , and it pretty much ruins his life. • Victor Frankenstein is a young man Of Romantic Age.
  • 4. Continue…… • He wants to do something new. That’s why he chooses science. • He wanted to study the secrets of many sciences. • He takes a great interest in observing man and in trying to learn more about his soul. • He was interested in mystery. • One day , a thunder storm struck the town
  • 5. Continue….. and when the lightning flashed, he saw a large tree burnt up and reduced to thin pieces of wood. He wanted to find out the mystery of this. • So he became interested in the laws of electricity and mathematics. • The first professor whom he met at the university was Mr. Krempe, whom he taught natural sciences to Frankenstein. He was rough in manner, but totally devoted to his science.
  • 6. Continue…. • Then Mr. Waldman was the professor who taught him chemistry. He was a sweet natured man in his fifties and praised the modern sciences. • Professor Waldman inspired Frankenstein to invent something for the benefit of mankind. • He advised Frankenstein to study all branches of natural sciences including Mathematics.

Continue…… • He became deeply interested in the various sciences and read widely. • As the time passed he was especially attracted to the mystery of the human body. • He has many questions in his mind, like What power was it that gave life? Where is the force, which gives life to the body? • He wants find out the answers of these questions.
  • 8. Continue….. • He wants to create human body in his laboratory. • He wants to know the secrets of human life. • He was eager to know everything. • He was curious. • He wants to become a creator.
  • 9. Continue…. • That’s why he went to the grave yards in search of different parts of the human body like bones, skull , hair etc. he collects the body parts. • It was very difficult task putting together the very thin veins and nerves of the human body , fixing the bones, the cell and other tiny parts. • He worked for days and nights for his creation and he did not even notice when the seasons changed.
  • 10. Continue……. • He forgets everything . • He is busy to create human Body , he forgets himself. • He lost contact of family and friends because of his creation.
  • 11. Continue….. • He creates human body. But it looks like a monster . • Monster is 8 feet long, with the help of science he gives a life to monster. • Because of his ugly look and huge body Victor and people does not accepts him.
  • 12. Continue….. • Monster wants love and support. But because of his ugly look nobody accepts him. • That’s why he is alone. He feels loneliness. • Then he learns many thing. And he reads paradise lost , and he reads the diary of victor. • And then he knew everything. • He decides to takes revenge. And then he kills many persons who belongs to victor’s family
  • 13. Continue….. • Victor loves Elizabeth. Then he kills Elizabeth. • Victor becomes alone. • Monster wants female monster. But victor denies to crates female monster. And that’s why monster kills Elizabeth. • In the whole story monster wants love and support. But in story he does not get love and support. And that’s why he became cruel and kills many innocent people. • Then at the end of the story victor also dead.
  • 14. Conclusion…… • Frankenstein is the perfect tragic hero , or character who is doomed to suffer due to his own actions. Victor is selfish. • He questions authority , and everything surrounding him. He is highly intelligent , caring , and actually a good person , but it was his ambition and God complex which ultimately drove him to ruin.
