WRITING: Look at the image on the next slide. Your task this week will be to write a story using the image. Today
your task is to plan your story (remember to plan for dialogue too). On the following slide there is an example of a
story mountain planning sheet similar to the ones we use in school, you can use this to help you plan the
structure.
HISTORY: Whilst learning about the British Empire, we touched on slavery – the powerful European countries
took people from their homes in Africa and made them slaves in the Americas. Did you know that the Bristol
harbour was the biggest slave port in England? Read the two webpages (links below). You have a choice of 2
tasks:
1) make a timeline about the slave trade;
2) make a fact page about the slave trade.
