2. The Crusades were a series of military conflicts of a religious character waged by much of Christian Europe against external and internal threats.
3. The crusades took place in Europe practically to the middle east and were fought for the holy land throughout Islam and Jerusalem. Every solider and peasant rushed for their destination of attack weather it was through snow, water or land.
