• the crusades effected money more than anything. Crusades needed a constant supply of
men and transportation. The demand for spices like pepper, cinnamon, ginger, and saffron
grew once the crusaders informed the nobles about the goods there. Fine silks and jewelry
from the Middle East were in demand. Glass and mirrors became popular items. So there
was a lot of trading with the middle east and Europe so they had to build up relationships
with the countries and traders had to have money to travel so it effected economy a lot.

• The seventh crusade ended in 1254 AD and
was led by Saint Louis IX of France. But with
bad reputation as the Christian warrior king
the crusade failed.

• Yes, another crusade followed the 7th crusade.
It was the 8th crusade and it started in 1270
AD. It began because Saint Louis IX was
haunted by his failure and returned to Tunis in
North Africa, but again it wasn’t success.
