HOW DOES IT
WORK?
Students are required to recognize
the unfamiliar words found in the
texts.
Students list down the words
according to their groups/types of
words
By using tables to of word groups,
students learn how to classify the
words correctly

TYPES OF WORDS
By grouping the words according to
their types of words,…
Students are able to identify meanings of
the same word in different situations.
Example: ‘run’
verb: to move with haste
“Run upstairs and get the iodine”
noun: an act of running
“I usually go for a run in the morning”
ANALYSING WORDS
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Students are required to study the
meaning of the unfamiliar words
found in texts.
Students use the dictionary as a tool
to look for the meaning for particular
words.
In English, some words comprise of
multiple yet different meanings.
Students are able to learn/widen new
vocabs/words their reading material.
Students achieve better
comprehension on texts that they are
assigned with
Students can construct/practice the
sentences using the new words learnt
in different contexts
Affluent (adjective)
Meaning – having an abundance of wealth,
property, or other material
Creed (noun)
Meaning – any system, doctrine, or formula of
religious belief, as of denomination
Alleviate (verb)
Meaning – to make easier to endure/lessen
In order to enhance their
knowledge on vocabularies,..
Students can search for the
synonyms of the words.
Students are encouraged to use to
online search engine and surf on
the websites ‘thesaurus.com’ for
further understanding.
Through this, it will enrich students’
vocabularies since they
acknowledge lists of words with
Understanding & Remembering
by using:
Helps students in understand and
remember various meanings and also
word groups.
 Depends on one’s cognitive system and
preferences.

  • 3. HOW DOES IT WORK? Students are required to recognize the unfamiliar words found in the texts. Students list down the words according to their groups/types of words By using tables to of word groups, students learn how to classify the words correctly
  • 5. By grouping the words according to their types of words,… Students are able to identify meanings of the same word in different situations. Example: ‘run’ verb: to move with haste “Run upstairs and get the iodine” noun: an act of running “I usually go for a run in the morning”
  • 7. HOW DOES IT WORK? Students are required to study the meaning of the unfamiliar words found in texts. Students use the dictionary as a tool to look for the meaning for particular words. In English, some words comprise of multiple yet different meanings.
  • 8. Students are able to learn/widen new vocabs/words their reading material. Students achieve better comprehension on texts that they are assigned with Students can construct/practice the sentences using the new words learnt in different contexts
