CAREER SUMMARY
Over Eight (8) years of product management and marketing experience within consumer
durables and IT equipment sector, having worked with market leading organisations such as
LG Electronics, Panasonic and Xerox India. Over this period, I have worked across
the entire marketing spectrum involving new product development, product positioning , market
launch, category P&L management, distribution and supply-chain disciplines.
Across all my Organisations, I have been involved in various strategic initiatives and have led various
key internal projects around launching new products, performing product gap analysis which
included market surveys and competitor analysis, suggest improvements to product line-up
and new product conceptualization, developing business cases for financial viability/
improving profitability, and introduction of digital channels for product sales and marketing.
A unique blend of marketing experience covering B2B , B2C and B2D client channels, coupled with
in-depth exposure to key Indian consumer markets like NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad,
Kolkata, Chennai etc, and neighbouring regions like Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka
WORK EXPERIENCE
Xerox India, Bangalore – Mar’13 - Till date
Sr. Product Manager – Office Printer Equipment, Consumables & Strategic Initiatives
As a Product Manager in Xerox India, managing all India responsibility of the complete line-up of A4 &
A3 printer Equipment & Supplies. In this role, I am managing all the 4 Ps of marketing and have a
single point responsibility for maintaining category target profitability.
Additionally, I am also part of the strategic project team responsible for delivering near-term and long-
term strategic business goals. As part of this team, I am currently leading marketing initiatives for
launching partner Managed Print Services (XPPS , Xerox Partner Print Services) program to augment
Xerox product line-up with a services / solution based model.
Key activities and achievements:
Launched various dealer incentives and product cross bundling schemes to boost sales
growth while ensuring profitability
Devised marketing campaigns through Digital and Traditional media involving Google ad
words, e-mailers, Linked-In and Facebook and developed catalogues, sales guide book and
other collaterals
Launched new Supplies policy for scientific target generation which was implemented across
Sales & Supplies Partners
2. Helped launch Xerox branded compatible cartridges for HP & Canon printers to expand Xerox
market footprint and introduced these in the e-commerce platform of Flipkart, this was
the first product from Xerox to be made available through on-line channel.
Partnered with IBM for extending equipment leasing and financing support to dealers
and channel partners.
Helped develop financial model for XPPS, involving a combination of Xerox software solutions,
printer model configuration, Channel partner commissions, equipment leasing terms which will
offer customers an end-to-end integrated value proposition
Panasonic India, Gurgaon - April 11’ till Feb 13’
Product Manager – Refrigerators
Joined Panasonic as the youngest Product Manager in the organisation, where I was handling the entire
line-up for refrigerator segment. As a Product Manager, I had end–to–end responsibility of the
segment performance, right from preparing business plans, pricing, promotions, PSI Planning,
placement, to developing overall product strategies for growing revenue & market share.
Also, conducted market research projects for gathering customer Insights, Competitor data and market
sizing of segment to map and anticipate trends for future product innovations
Key activities and achievements:
Involved in OEM partnership between Panasonic and Videocon in India and was
responsible for deciding the refrigerator models & line-up to be manufactured by Videocon
Did a complete product line-up revamp and introduced 3 new refrigerator segments
within a span of 15 months, which included first single door, first side by side and first top
freezer refrigerator by Panasonic in India
Develop Annual Product Road Map for my category and assist Business Group Head in
developing Annual Business Plan including financial planning for Y & Y+3 Year
LG India, Greater Noida, Jun 2008 till Mar 11’
Product Planner – Refrigerator and Washing Machines
As a product planner, I was primarily responsible for leading the process of new product development,
right from gathering consumer insight, till development and market launch of end product. Was also
responsible for collecting and analysing the customer feedback post 6 months of purchase and looping
it into product roadmap.
Key activities and achievements:
Instrumental in launching various new & innovative products which included - Talking
Washing Machine, Door-In-Door Side by Side Refrigerator, Battery operated Double
Door Refrigerator etc. all of which were the first of its kind in India market.
Based on extensive market research, launched India specific features for select refrigerator and
washing machine models. Also launched products catering to rural market
3. Conducted “Ideation Workshops” with LG INI Group, Korea (Insight & Innovation) for
developing future (Y+1, Y+3) USP’s for Washing Machine and Refrigerator Category
Instrumental in launching premium Line Up for LG Front Load Washing Machine “Direct Drive”
technology (Steam Washer Dryers)
