2. This is one of the images that I took for my front
cover. This pic could be good to use as it’s a full
shot of the model which shows what he is doing
fully. The mise en scene is also shown very
clearly and could be reflective back to the
audience and show them how it effects the
genre. This picture could be edited but it will be
difficult as the sun shine would be hard to get
rid of. I would have to cut out the model and
put it o a new sheet with a different back
ground colour which would show the model
more clearly to the audience. I don’t think that
this relates to hip hop because of the model
smiling and looks like if he is happy and
expresses his emotions as a happy man which
doesn’t adjust with the hip hop genre. If I use
this picture I will have to enlarge it a bit to show
the audience more detail and will have to add
a lot of information on the front cover which will
then lead to the audience disliking it because
they don’t really like to read a lot of information
unless the picture attracts the audiences
attention.
3. This picture would also be great to use as I
don’t really have to cut anything out and
wouldn’t have to do much work in terms
of editing, however I would have to do
something with the back ground and I
was thinking I would blur it out do it
doesn’t show much detail in the back
ground which will make the audience
focus more on the model rather than the
whole picture it self. The masthead would
go on top of the artist which will make
some of it go behind his hat to make sure
the audience don’t see it properly which
will make them assume what the head
line would be. The mise en scene is the
same in this picture and I think that it
relates to the hip hop genre. On this
picture I wouldn’t also have to add much
information as the model itself is covering
the page and then if it has too much
information on it then the audience
would not appreciate this and they
wouldn’t bother looking at where as if it
has less information and the picture is
catchy then the audience would like this
and would want to have a look inside for
more information. I think I might have to
use this picture.
4. This picture is quite different from the
pictures before as this picture is big and
is in the middle which means that the
information would go around the model
which would make sense because it
would mean that the information is
about the model. In this picture the
model isn’t even smiling and shows his
emotions to hip hop genre which has an
effect on how the audience think about
the model. This picture wouldn’t also be
hard to edit as I wouldn’t have to crop
any thing out and would just have to ad
an effect on the background to make
sure the audience focus on the model
more rather than the picture as a whole.
I would have to edit the colour on the
model because the sun is shining on the
model and doesn’t relate to anything so
I would have to make sure that it looks
darker which will then lead to it relating
to the hip hop genre.
