 The latest trend in the SMAC technology is digital transformation. Digital
Transformation refers to the changes associated with the application of digital
technology in all aspects of human society.
Digital transformation may be thought as the third stage of embracing digital
technologies:
Digital Competence → Digital Literacy → Digital Transformation
The latter stage means that digital usages inherently enable new types of
innovation and creativity in a particular domain, rather than simply enhance and
support the traditional methods.

5. Impact of SMAC/digital transformation in the next five years
 Now the SMAC technologies account for less than 10% of the total revenue of it companies
but according to international data corp.’s(IDC’S) estimate, Indian IT vendors will generate at
least $225 billion in SMAC related revenue in 2020.
 Due to the SMAC/ digital transformation in the era of 2010-2020 the SMAC Stack will
represent $5 trillion in combined spending.
 As many as 100 billion computing devices will be connected to the Web and billions of users
will be increased.
 Corporations will be managing 50 times the data currently managed.
 The SMAC impact is not only on changing business Models it is also on the enabling internal
organizational change.

6. Interest Areas
 I have interest on the area cloud computing in the SMAC because,
92 % of businesses are completely satisfied with the cloud based
services and planning to increase their usage.
 If I get an opportunity to do an internship, I would like to work on
the cloud based services and can learn latest trends in the cloud
services and try to implement more innovative and efficient cloud
services for the next generation.
