1. My Evaluation - The Conversation
Overall my filmwent very well for the fact that it is my first time shooting and editing a film.
The location was perfect for the ideas I had, in this small room with little furniture. Only the
lightning could have been slightly different, a little more dimmed. I wanted the filmto be
more mysterious but we couldn’t switch off the lights. After a long search I found
background music that matches the mysterious mood of the whole video, also through
matching costumes of the Black Lady and the spy. They both wore dark clothes, for example
the dark glasses of the Black Lady, and I think it really looks like in a spy-film. Sometimes my
footage is a little bit wiggly, next time I have to improve that. Now moving on to the editing.
At the beginning I found it a little bit difficult cropping the separate videos and create
smooth transitions between one and the next video. But with some practising it went better
and better. Unfortunately I haven’t had enough footage to fill the given 1-2 minutes. For the
next time I have to collect more footage and I’m going to keep the camera for the individual
videos longer, so I have more possibility to cut and edit them. Sometimes I stopped filming
too early and therefore the transitions are not so good. The most difficult part was the
moment of handover of the envelope. I wanted to film it from different angles but it didn’t
go very well and it turned out quite fitful. But I’m proud of my first video and I really like it.
