2. Teaching Philosophy
My passion for teaching stems from a sincere desire to motivate and assist others in leading the most successful
lives possible. I wish to positively influence individuals who I will teach. I believe that each and every person
has an enormous potential and should receive an equal opportunity to reach that potential. We need to allow all
students to create a motivation within that will inspire them to continue to be life long learners.
Throughout my entire career I will make sure to accommodate all needs
and be an effective teacher who encourages and achieves student
success. I will cultivate an innovative, structured, and safe
environment to encourage a love of learning and empower my students
to reach their full potential. In order for students to aspire to succeed
they must feel safe and welcomed in their learning environment.
Children learn best through active
learning, hands-on, and self-directed
activities. In my experiences, students were
consistently given opportunities to learn
directly from their own discoveries.
Differentiation is embedded throughout the
areas of content, process, and product
within my lessons. I believe in using the
most naturalistic/ least restrictive
environment and classroom possible for all
students. The integration of technology
while teaching is used to assist meeting the
students’needs individually. I allow my
students to put forth their individual
interests in order to engage them in active
learning and take ownership of it.
