Operations are an organizational
function performing the ongoing
execution of activities that produce
the same product or provide a
repetitive service.
Operations require business process
management or operations
management.
Operations are permanent
endeavors that produce repetitive
outputs, with resources assigned to do
basically the same set of tasks
according to the standards
institutionalized in a product life cycle.
Some operations are production

identify business needs and determine solutions to business problems.

Role of a Project Manager
 The Project Manager is responsible for directing the project's resources,
developing the project plan and ensuring that the project is completed on
time, within budget and with acceptable quality.
 The Project Manager also plays a primary role interfacing and coordinating
with customers and management.

• Business analysis helps stakeholders achieve a shared understanding of
the organization’s needs.
