To the General Manager or Director of Human Resources:
If your organizationcan use a capable, goal-oriented individual with
a strong desire to start a career, please consider my background,
education and qualifications. As an achiever and sports-minded
individual, I can offer strengths and skills that will prove to be
useful to your organization.
I grew up in a family with an intense interest in sports. My Father
attended college on a baseball scholarship and was a star baseball
player. He played in the East-West All Star Game. After college, he
was a participant in the Atlanta Braves amateur baseball draft. In
my family, sports and playing baseball is a way of life.
Highlights of my experience include:
• Solid academicrecord – during my college and high
school years, I consistently maintained above-
average grades while participating on sports teams
• An enthusiasm for challenges, especially those that
require creative thinking and new ways to approach
problems and routine operational issues
• Goal-driven work ethic and dedicated approach to all
tasks and undertakings
• While pursuing my degree, I developed an aptitude for
and strong interest in sports management
I look forward to discussing possibilities to grow within your
organization and am very excited about the opportunity to capitalize
on my sports background. A personal interview will allow me to
provide additional information to supplement what appears on my
resume.
Sincerely,
Michael Smith,Jr.
