2. Introduction
The universe as a whole is to large to understand complete.
There are so many unknown worlds to discover but from
what we know so far we can only survive on earth so
shouldn’t we try not to destroy it or ourselves?
3. Dangers of Technology
As of now there are many dangerous technology that can harm humanity
and all the animals
Some technologies that can be dangerous are Nuclear Power,
Automobiles, Cell Phones, Gas/Oil, Airplanes and Rockets, Genetic
Engineering, and Artificial Viruses and Bacteria
A huge contributor to the destruction of our planet is the automobile. In
2013 vehicles created more than half of the carbon monoxide and
nitrogen oxides and a quarter of hydrocarbons into the air.
5. Dangers Cont.
Since we began using nuclear power we have come to understand the
dangers of it and how catastrophic it can be. Meltdowns are one of the
most dangerous event to happen at a nuclear power plant, from the
Fukushima incident to the one at Chernobyl. We learn how dangerous
and destructive nuclear power can be to the environment. If there are
radiation leaks, depending on the amount released you can get minute
radiation poisoning to having cancer later on in life or to straight
immediate shutdown of the body causing death.
7. Societal Affects of Technology
With newer technologies coming out almost everyday we have to see the
societal affects it can have on humanity. With some technology benefiting
humanity as whole and with having a very dangerous affect we have learn
to understand if we should use it or not.
Example: With genetic engineering on the rise is it right to modify a
human? Or can we just do it for the sake that we can. We have to ask
these questions before using this technology. Who know maybe we will
create a ungodly creature by modifying a human being.
8. Societal Affects Cont.
Other affects technology can have is psychological, with the rise of smart
phones and social media. People are more interconnect with each other,
meaning people can feel or sympathise more. A conclusion can be made
that people are now more isolated and becoming more depressed
because of these technologies. As since everyone is on there smart
phones no one is paying attention to what happens in the real world
around them.
9.
10. Prevention and Protection
With these new technologies on the rise we must learn to see the dangers
of it and create prevention and protection techniques. Some of the
technologies can has serious effect on a psychological level which can
lead to many mental affects that can be prevented with proper research
and learning how to use these technologies responsibly.
There is a lot of sensitive data that should be protect but sometimes it is
very difficult to do so with the rise of hackers and leakers. To stop this we
must learn to create better programs and technologies to keep our data
safe.
11.
12. Destruction of the Planet
We are more cable of destroying the planet than ever before, we have
some many new technologies that could wipe out humanity as we know it
or we have become so reliant on technology that if it were to vanish we
would be crippled as a species.
I feel that at some point technology will destroy us or the planet one way
or another.
We may do this without the intention of it.
