2. Collection
• We collect monthly at a agreed date or this can be
variable to suit client
• On collection we check that supporting documents
are ready from client such as those specifying type
and quantity.
• Get sign off from collection point. If for example the
collection is + or - the monthly allocation then
record this information
3. Arrival To Denre
• Check paperwork.
• Initially 3 types of spent grain (Brewers
Grain, Brewers Dust, Distillers Spent Grain)
• Separate and breakdown grain to smaller batches
• Monitor For mold and moisture content
• Log all activity
4. Treatment of Various Grains
• Brewers Dust
For immediate use. Check for Impurities
• Distillers Spent Grain
• Longest drying process time & additional
milling/grinding required
• For each strain of grain at this stage document
individually
5. Check And Monitor
• Specify percentage of specific grain going into
specific product type
• Specify which mix going with the grain (Is it HIPS or
PP)
• Check & ensure specific run matches existing design
and if any modification (print or design)
• If change requested/required send proof for
approval to client
• Produce hard copy sample.
• Get sign off.
6. Determine Moulding Process
• Two distinct types of moulding process
1.Compression
2.Injection
• If compression, prepare surface and engage CNC
• Printing: Ensure screen print or 3D
• Ensure font and strap lines and layout are correct
• Get signoff
• Finish polished or unpolished
7. Manage Stock
• Monitor levels of stock
• Bespoke system in development for the management
of stock levels
• Intention is to provide web access to client for
viewing of stock levels and potentially to
submit/modify orders. (See work in progress)
8. Work In Progress
• Distillers Spent Grain DSG
• Brewers Spent Grain BSG
• Starch from Crisp Manufacturing
• Characteristics & behaviour vary considerably
• Also looking into other Bio waste by-products
• Currently testing the Starch from crisp making for
manufacturing a film for packaging
• In conjunction to this we are also exploring viability
of new products made from BSG many ideas on the
drawing board currently & we wish to engage with
clients at this point/ stage in development
9. Work In Progress
• Denre have supplied a consultant with an initial spec
for a cloud based stock management system
• Initially the system will be used internally in Denre to
manage stock levels with the intention of rolling out
custom modules for client access.
• Denre staff will co-ordinate with Diageo to provide
any required access to data such as stock level
reports
• If required appropriate UI shall be provided to allow
orders to be submitted by clients.
