10. IS TECHNOLOGY BOON OR
BANE?
For most of us, technology is such a blessing –
it has made our everyday living light & easy. It
has also produced several ways for us to create
another product from the product itself. We’re
able to make different things with the help of
technology. In addition to that, technology also
helped to the improvement or development of
the teaching-learning process.
11. However, in some ways, technology is
bane due to the misuses of humans.
Some of them are using technology in an
inappropriate manner (like for example,
browsing in a particular pornography
site). And worst, technology has became
part of some of illegal works/jobs of
humans.
IS TECHNOLOGY BOON OR
BANE?
13. SYSTEMATIC APPROACH
TO TEACHING
It is a system of elements that
are different from each other.
They function in a way that is
different/unique from the other
one but they contribute to the
effectiveness of the instructional
system.
14. This system approach views the
educational program as an
interrelated parts – these parts
are integrated in harmony: one is
connected to one another.
SYSTEMATIC APPROACH
TO TEACHING
15. Few models & theories about learning that is ideal in achieving
instructional objectives through the help of Educational
Technology.
Conceptual Model of Learning
16. MEANINGFUL LEARNING
There are times wherein traditional learning
loses its own effectiveness or all that it gives
is stress to the students (sometimes brought
by mere memorization). With the help of
educational technology, students are taught
to give more attention to relevant parts.
That’s why we have implemented those
hands-on activities to simulate and improve
learning.
17. DISCOVERY LEARNING
Here, students themselves perform
tasks in order for them to discover
what is to be learned. Just always
remember that first hand
experiences have longer retainment
in the minds of the students.
18. GENERATIVE LEARNING
Since we have active listeners in
class, they are the kind of learners
who tend to give their full attention
to learning. They generate their
own personal model of explanation
to the new experience that they’ve
encountered in the context of
existing knowledge.
19. This focuses on what
can be done with the
pieces of information
not only by having
access to them.
GENERATIVE LEARNING
23. BLOOM’S TAXONOMY OF THINKING
SKILLS
Bloom’s taxonomy is a classification system used
to define and distinguish different levels of
human cognition—i.e., thinking, learning, and
understanding. Educators have typically used
Bloom’s taxonomy to inform or guide the
development of assessments (tests and other
evaluations of student learning), curriculum
(units, lessons, projects, and other learning
activities), and instructional methods such as
questioning strategies.

26. The cone of
experience is a visual
model, a pictorial
device that presents
bands of experiences
arranged according to
degree of abstraction
and not to the degree
of difficulty. Media &
materials are the two
elements of the Cone
of Experience.
28. Everyone of us in this big world has
a role to play. We do our best to
make the roles that we are playing
in the drama of life better. On the
other hand, Educational Technology
has a role to play too in the field of
learning.
29. It may serve as our source of information
which will help us, teachers, in
imparting/presenting our lessons with
broader & clearer explanations and
artistic presentations that will surely help
our dear students in understanding
every lesson better.
30. Furthermore, Educational Technology also
helps our learners in opening themselves to
the virtual world, wherea, another dimension
of learning awaits. However, we, teachers,
need to play our role also to guide them in
proper learning with technology. It is a broad
field and it’s not totally safe for them to
explore the way all alone without guidance.
38. I learned a lot from Educational Technology &
it also gave me a deeper understanding about
some circumstances on how and when
technology is considered as boon or bane.
The things I’ve learned from our first
Educational Technology last semester were
given a lot more explanations here in
Educational Technology 2 that makes me
understand them better.

REFLECTION & IMPLICATION
39. Learning in Ed. Tech. 2 was a lot of fun
and I enjoyed every discussion that
we’ve had because of the enjoyable
activities. With this course also, I
learned a lot more about what I
already know (like browsing through
the internet, and so on and so forth).
- Rex Lozada
REFLECTION & IMPLICATION
40. In this class, I have learned new ways to
incorporate technology into my future
classroom. I have learned how to engage
with my students more and how to make
things easier in my field. I have also
learned how to operate many tools that
will become useful in helping me achieve
my objectives.
- Krizel Saballa
REFLECTION & IMPLICATION
41. I believe that to become an efficient
teacher someday, you need to be open to
new ideas especially in using technology.
So, if something new comes out, it is
important for a teacher to look at that tool
critically – see if it would be good and will
fit for classroom use. If so, learn how to use
that tool and impart that to your students
so they can get the most out of that tool.
- Krizel Saballa
REFLECTION & IMPLICATION
42. As what our own-created quotation says,
“Educational Technology and a sharpener are
the same: neither in shape nor in appearance,
but in purpose,” and I can say that I am one of
those sharpened pencils who had gone through
the sharpener of Ed. Tech. This course taught
me additional ideas on how to creatively use
technology in the learning environment.
- Mea Forfieda
REFLECTION & IMPLICATION
43. The birth of technology in our generation is
indeed a big blessing. Educational Technology
is here with us to teach us more about
integrating technology inside the classroom.
It’s up to us if we’re going to be open for
those incoming ideas about technology that is
essential and will help us improved ourselves
in using it. While for me, I’ll be open-arms to
those kind of ideas.
- Mea Forfieda
REFLECTION & IMPLICATION
45. The students (esp. those aspiring educators)
learned more about integrating technology inside
the classroom. They have broaden their
knowledge and improved their skills since they
have gone through ICT & Educational Technology
1 and also finished taking up this course. They
can now be more creative in doing different
school stuff that uses technology.
- Rex Lozada
THE STUDENTS after the Ed. Tech. 2
46. The students after Ed. Tech. 2 will
be more knowledgeable in using
technology in many aspects & how
they will use it in a good way. Their
ability were enhanced not only in
one thing, because Educational
Technology 2 has many benefits,
especially in teaching profession.
- Krizel Saballa
THE STUDENTS after the Ed. Tech. 2
47. The students who took the course
Educational Technology 2 will be more
efficient and knowledgeable when it
comes in using technology. They will be
more creative in doing projects such as
power point presentations and the like.
They’re now ready to compete inside
our progressing world.
