Could you watch the Simpsons in black and white
or the Guardians of the galaxy too? Well if it wasn't

some of our favorite characters in color.

1941: The first tv show was not your usual Big
Bang Theory or Walking dead. The first official,
paid television advertisement was broadcast in the
United States on July 1, 1941 over New York
station WNBT (now known as WNBC) before a
baseball game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and
Philadelphia Phillies. This was during the end of
WW 2.
10. After World War II, an improved form
of black-and-white TV became popular
in the United States and Britain. More
television sets became common in
homes, businesses, and institutions.

The first prototype flat screen TV was invented during the
month of July in 1964. The invention would be made
public later that same year. The TV’s were not as flat as
the tv we know today. They were at least 4 inches thick if
you viewed then from the side.
14. • The 80’s was the best years to ever have and here are
few shows and movies from the 80’s that will make
you have the same opinion as me.
15. • This was an important part in Television because it
was known as the golden age of television. This is
because of the iconic actors and hilarious t.v. Also
some of the most famous movies come from the 80’s.

• Skip a few years and you get to the 2000’s we have
many shows and tv has evolved in many ways:
• We now have t.v. screens that are curved.
• Also we have t.v. screens that are 2.57mm thick (that’s
half the size of the first one.)
17.

• We have traveled to 1960 through the 2000’s in t.v.
and we learned a few things along the way. We have
learned about how we got to see color on our little
screen in the living room and we got to learn about the
golden years. Will you ever look at t.v the same again?
