Information privacy refers to the relationship between collecting and sharing personal data, technology, public expectations of privacy, and related legal issues. The presentation provides four rules for protecting privacy: only share information with people you know; securely store and dispose of important information like social security numbers; maintain appropriate security on devices; and ask questions before sharing using the T-H-I-N-K method. Computer hackers break into systems to steal, change, or destroy information often by installing malware without consent. It is important to follow the tips to keep private information secure.
