Refrigerators are cool, it keeps our food fresh.
Watching late T.V. shows, to ease the whole day stress.
Gadgets, cellphones and light
Finds its meaning with electricity, right?
So, conserve electricity, that’s what you should do.
Because electricity is doing everything for you.
Group the learners into 3 and ask them to list down all the things in
the poem that is powered by electricity. The group with the greatest
number of things listed down within 3 minutes wins.

Discuss how electricity is used.
Electricity has many uses. Electricity is used to produce light, heat,
motion and sound. Objects that need electricity to work are called electrical
devices or equipment. Computers, music players, television sets and
cellphones need electricity to work to provide us with entertainment.
Electricity is also used in electric fans and air- conditioners to keep us cool.
Electricity is very important in the home and in all places to help people in
doing daily life activities.
Show them a tv and a plug, plug in the tv and switcg it on, let the learners
realize that electricity used to produce light and sound. Let them think of
other ways and give a valid example of how electricity is used.
F. Developing Mastery Give series of pictures to learners and ask them to paste the
pictures under electricity if they are powered by electricity and
paste them on the picture of a large trash can if they aren’t. ask
them to tell what kind of use does the electrity give to each of the
pictures posted under electricity.
