2. INTRODUCTION
WHAT isBRTaccordingto GAM?
‘Bus Rapid Transit’ one of the most accepted solution
for the public transportation in Amman mainly and
Jordan generally. From which, users of public
transportation may increase to reach 40% (14%) now.
Basically, the project include working on maintaining
and developing transportation network in Jordan. The
system depends on dealing within qualified buses which
serve users safely and highly reliability
It includes high-capacity buses that run on dedicated lanes, fixed
schedules and a high level of services, and modern stations that
facilitate the user to transfer between different modes of public
transport, and has a capacity to transport more than six thousand
passengers per hour, and double buses can accommodate more
than 120 passengers going according to Frequency less than three
minutes. 2
