1. Use of technology

2.  To produce my magazine I used many
different software to produce my magazine.
The main software I used was Photoshop cs5.
This was used to produce my magazine: Front
cover, double page spread and contents
page. From the beginning of producing the
magazine I already had some knowledge of it.
However I learned more tools in the software
to take my magazines further.

3.  For example I managed to remove
backgrounds on images which I could not do
before. This was by using the magic wand
tool, lasso tool and eraser tool.
 I also used the gradient tool to create an
interesting background as without it I would
just have a plain background and would
Look appealing to the reader.

4.  Photoshop allowed me to have more freedom
to customise my magazine. For example if I
was using another type of software such as
publisher I could not do nearly as much and
have as much variety in tools. Photoshop is
also much more advanced than any other
graphics editor.

5.  The internet was a huge source to help me
with my magazine as it has so many
recourses. Also it was useful throughout all
the work. Such as research at the beginning
which was coursework and analysing the
different areas of magazine such as getting
information on: front cover, contents page
and double page spread. Also I used the
internet to present my work such as prezi,
emaze and PowerPoint.

6.  I used YouTube to get knowledge on all the
different ways to edit on my magazine . For
example My front cover was key for this as
this is part of the magazine which can be
edited most. Also another way I got help with
a specific part of magazine was for the
gradient tool and YouTube gave a clear
concise way to use it.
