2. Key Responsibilities: Planning & Supply Chain (Nippon Paint India Pvt Ltd)
Demand Planning – Prepare 4 months forecast based on customer forecast/schedule,
sales trend and historical sales.
Production Planning – Prepare production plan based on forecast, twice in a month.
Review/follow-up execution of plan with production , QC to meet customer
requirements and buffer stock.
SM/NM Liquidation – Monitor SMNM generation and liquidation.
Raw Material Planning – Prepare raw material requirement as per forecast/production
plan and prepare PR. Co-ordinate with purchase department to ensure availability of all
RMs as per requirement.
Sales & Distribution - Preparation of daily dispatch plan and co-ordination with
warehouse and transporters for despatch. Creation of stock transfer orders and to
ensure availability of finished goods at warehouse and depots as per forecast.

Demand Planning:
Review and finalize demand forecast, in tune with sales trend, historical sales
and market demand, twice in a month.
Planning of windfall/rush orders from sales teamand co-ordinate with purchase
and manufacturing for delivery as per commitment/customer requirement.
Correction of demand as per drift in sales pattern to generate/control inventory.
Liquidation / reduction of non-moving /slow moving inventory.
Production planning
Releasing production plan to plants twice in a month to maintain required
inventory levels and maximum utilization of capacity. Review and modification of
plan as per fluctuating demands from sales teamand review/follow-up with
factory for meeting the set plan.
Follow-up with purchase team to ensure availability of raw materials to achieve
production plan.
Monitoring and maintaining inventory of inter plant transferred intermediates.
Review capacity and identify existing/expected bottlenecks.
Backup inventory management and planning for selected customers.

Maintaining required inventory levels at all point of sales.
Ensure allocation of finished goods from factory to warehouses as per demand
and ensure zero loss of sale.
Ensure system accuracy through review and corrections as and when required to
ensure proper distribution.
Maintenance & correction of transportation lanes to optimize load and cost.
Review product mix and manufacturing locations to minimize lead time and cost
Inter-depot transfer of finished goods as per stock levels and urgencies.

Driving APQP activities for new product planning and execution
Monitor production, inventory and distribution dash boards and discuss with concerned
teams for improvement.
Review Inventory dashboard and transfer slow moving and non-moving inventory to
other depots or plants for liquidation.
