2. DEFINITION OF DIABETES
• Diabetes is a chronic health condition that occurs when the blood
glucose is too high and it is also called blood sugar.

3. TYPES OF DIABETES
• There are two main types of diabetes: type 1 and type 2.

4. TYPES OF DIABETES
• Type 1 :people with type 1 diabetes do not
produce insulin.
• Type 2:people with type 2 diabetes do not
respond to insulin as well as they should and
later on , they often do not make enough
insulin.

5. CAUSES OF DIABETES
• Inactivity
• High blood pressure
• Family history
• Age
• Weight(over weight)

6. SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF DIABETES
• Urinating frequently
• Feeling very thirsty
• Feeling very hungry
• Feeling very fatigued
• Having blurry vision
• Having cuts or sores that
do not heal properly

7. PREVENTION OF DIABETES
• Work out regularly
• Drink water as primary beverage
• Quit smoking
• Try to loose excess weight
• Follow a high fiber diet

8. TREATMENT OF DIABETES
• Use insulin injection or use an
insulin pump.
• Check blood sugar frequently.
• Lifestyle change.
• Healthy eating.
• Organ transplant
