Because online giving still makes up less than 10 percent of all charitable gifts, many nonprofits think investing in online fundraising is a waste of time and resources. Think again. Did you know? - Online giving rose 13.5 percent in 2013. But nonprofits that gave donors the best online-giving experiences raised 25 percent more than other organizations. - For some nonprofits, mobile devices now account for half of all website visits and up to 35 percent of online gifts. In 2013, GivingTuesday donations rose 90%, with an average online gift of $142 - a 40% increase from 2012. - Online giving tends to be episodic, peaking with actual events such as natural disasters and awareness days, like GivingTuesday and Arizona Gives Day. So how should these online giving trends impact your fundraising strategy? And why do people give online? During this session, we will discuss how nonprofits can build their online presence, improve systems and processes, and engage those who are likely to give recurring donations, episodic gifts, or end of year contributions online. You will leave ready to plan for year-round online giving success using Arizona Gives Day to hone your online giving strategy and raise more money for your nonprofit.
