female audience with a pop genre it would
conventionally be feminine, like pink and not
many dark colours and the male the opposite.

• Title regularly repeated along with the date to show it is a
recent issue.
• A variety of page numbers to enable to reader to easily find
what they are looking for.
• Sub headings to make it clearer and give the readers an
idea of what is in the magazine, also easier to navigate.
• The colour scheme normally follows the front covers.
• The image will be of an artist or band of the same genre
the magazine is. Also including a caption, making the
readers drawn to the image and wanting to read the
story.

• Usually feature a well-known celebrity.
• Title will stand out.

• Colloqial language usually found in pop
magazines suiting a younger audience.
• Main features conventionally very bold or in
different colours to stand out.
• Font is commonly sans serif.

• It represents the artists positively with mainly
flattering and appealing images of them.
• Significantly portrays their personality with
colours, font, body language etc.
