kind bands and artist they feature. Rock magazines are usually aimed at large
target audiences as people from all age groups are likely to read them. They
often feature a large main image of a member/members of a band, some who
aren’t current. This Keeps all members of their intended audience engaged.
Their dark colours make them less likely to stand out on a newsstand.

sometimes a large popular one. The colours tend to be pastel or light and

8. I am going to work within the indie-rock genre as I have friends whose looks
fit this style. I can access costumes and make-up that would allow me to create
an image that would fit with the genre. Its also a genre of music I enjoy
therefore I have a few ideas as to what it could look like and what it could
contain.
