2. There are two main types of posters which are used to publicize
bands. One is where there is a big picture of the musician/s, the
other being a drawing of some sort; it could be shapes or it could be
of a human, but the drawings are very rarely of the artists
themselves.
3. I really like the design of the
tree here, as the branches on
the tree really attract the eye.
The blue colour is very bright,
and the yellow clashes; but
this makes it stand out and
look bolder than the white
writing at the top.
Although the colours are not
stereotypically rock there is
something very uneasy about
this picture, not only because
of the lopsided tree, but
because of the water droplets
which are falling off of it. They
give the whole picture a sense
of falling and sadness, which
could appeal to the rock
audience.
4. I really like the way that the
picture looks old, this is the way it
looks crumpled and the faded
orangey/ brown colouration.
The band name stands out
extremely well at the top with the
other writing still standing out,
but not as dominant or obtrusive.
The picture of the female angel
with wings is very intriguing, it
captures the eye and the detail of
the woman’s inside is very
interesting.
The way that certain things have
been put into bold gives the
whole poster a gothic look, which
I really like.
