2. Hardware
 This is due to the film being recorded on a I phone so we just recorded and stopped I at the right
moment in time. However, I’ve never used a tripod prior to this. I can now use it, placing it at the
right height and angle. At first we struggled putting phones in it but we got round it in the end.
We allowed the camera to roll longer before and after the actual shot we wanted. This made it
easier in the future to edit.

3. Software
 On the other hand, software I learned a lot about it. Using final cut to edit I used techniques that
I picked up along the way when editing such as the Ken burns tool, sound control, cutting,
cropping, adding text. I never edited before this process so I learnt a lot of things about it. This is
reflected in the product as I edited off the product.

4. Research
 In the research and planning section I used YouTube, Blogger and Survey Monkey to help collect
data. YouTube was used to post our preliminary task, focus group, background music and pre
filming. This allowed us to display my results visually and make it easier to show. I.e. peoples’
opinion in focus group and our skills when editing the preliminary task. We had some issues of
uploading videos to YouTube at first but due to technical errors it was fixed and there have been
no issues since. Survey monkey made it a lot simpler for me to gain knowledge on how to
structure the film based on peoples’ views on spy films. Instead of interviewing and typing up the
results it digitally displayed them. This made it easier and a great way to display results. It is easier
to use and set up and I had no difficulties with it. Blogger in general is a great way of sharing the
work as everyone has access to it from anywhere and it allot being saved in one place. It also
allowed me to embedded media such as YouTube and Survey Monkey instead of opening a new
tab. It also has an edit feature to allow me to update or make any necessary changes. It is easier
to use and set up and I had no difficulties with it too.

5. Conclusion
 Overall, my editing skills have improved on the basis of being able to do it at a quicker pace and
enjoying it. These skills are reflected in the final product as well as some being used through out
my blog too.
