The teacher will present a text to the class entitled “My Birthday Picnic” using a PowerPoint
presentation and ask the students to read the text all-together.
My Birthday Picnic
Last Sunday my family and I went out to a public park for a picnic because it was my
birthday. We took our two dogs with us so they could run around and get some fresh air but
the weather suddenly turned bad. By the time we arrived at the park, it was raining so hard
that we could not go out of our car. We had to eat inside the car. The dogs were getting
restless so we kept them in place by taking turns in cuddling them. After an hour, it was still
raining, and there was thunder and lightning which made our dogs even more restless. We
decided to go home, but father announced in dismay that we got two flat tires. Then, father
called his friend for a rescue, immediately two men came with spare tires and tools to
replace the tires. One hour later, the job was completed. Father thanked the men and paid
them for the services. Finally, father started the car and we headed home. We did not enjoy
my birthday picnic but we will try again next year. We felt tired and sleepy. Mother turned on
the family sound system and played a happy birthday song.
