2. Process
Here is one of the experiments I created
using Photoshop, I used inspiration from
other 8-bit top down games and created this
world using just a single pixel sized pencil.
Reflection
From this experiment I will include the top
down view however not much else since the
image is very bright and doesn’t fit a zombie
shooter
3. Process Reflection
I made this design on Photoshop by drawing in
the blocks I wanted to use to create a maze type
of map, I made sure to make the gaps between
the blocks big enough for the character and
zombies to walk through. I decided to make my
game setting be in a more dark and gloomy
dungeon like setting which is why I changed the
colours and layout of my experiment, I did this
because it seemed more suitable for a zombie
shooter.
When looking back at this experiment I would add
more texture to the background so the game
doesn’t seem as blocky. I would also like to change
the size of the map however that would’ve proven
difficult to draw the rest of my product.
4. Process Reflection
I made this design on Photoshop by drawing out
the block shapes I wanted to use as my “maze”
area and then I added some texture to them to
make the map seem more decayed and authentic
to a dungeon themed zombie shooter. This makes
the background seem less boring and bland which
makes the game seem more appealing.
When reflecting on this experiment I would’ve liked
to add more objects and detail to the background
to make it seem more appealing and authentic to a
zombie shooter. I struggled with trying to fit in the
blocks for the maze and also making sure there was
enough space between each block for the
characters to walk through, this was due to the size
of the canvas I used and if I were to create this
product again I’d increase the scale of the canvas to
allow me to have more space to work in.
