To the legend receiving this -
If you are reading right now, you must be a part of a great company and team.
I know this, because I know Danielle Marsland (Dani), and that she’d only be
drawn to the best. She always delivers the best, and always believes the best
in others.
Dani is a unique and captivating person. I’ve been fortunate enough to know
her in many capacities: as a publicist, a video producer, a journalist, and as a
friend. We’ve worked together on numerous projects in the last three years -
what initially began as ‘need you now’ contract work rapidly evolved into a
‘need you here full time doing your thing’.
She’s an extremely skilled publicist - knowing exactly how to approach
different people, and how hard to push them for a result. Dani has
considerably raised the profile of our Pilerats brand, our label artists, our
festivals, our video work, and our club. She has likewise encouraged me of
the value of increasing my own public profile as a means of growing trust in
the company – she has facilitated my participation in talks, seminars and
interviews, landing me in the paper on several occasions. It is through her
constant encouragement that I’ve become comfortable in the public arena,
rather than existing in the shadows. As a journalist and writer, Dani is witty,
intelligent and compelling, with a very wide and mature depth of contemporary
arts and cultural subject matter - a quality that shines through in her publicity
copy and an asset to any culturally or musically important workplace in
general.
Dani is a dedicated employee. It would be a common occurrence to bump into
each other in the office on a Saturday, trying to get more work done. She
applies herself fully to what she is working on, is approachable and
communicates regularly, delivers everything with an extra layer of polish and
always ensures all parties’ expectations are satisfied; often going beyond
what’s required of her.
Without any doubt, Dani is a weapon. She can deliver in her areas of
expertise, and never shys away from learning about or trying new things. She
would be a value-add at any organisation that she chooses to work for.
Hopefully you decide to choose her also.
Cheers,
Alex.
