Wrote Individualized Education Plans for 15-20 students per year in grades 8 and 7, meeting the set timelines.
I communicated with parents of students on my caseload, staff, student, administration, as well as parents of
students in the cotaught class, as well as DSS and home and hospital facilities.
I organized IEP meetings for students on my caseload as well as presenting the IEPs at meetings with the IEP team
In order to prepare for the IEP meetings and determine accurate present levels of performance I administered a
variety of assessments,including the Qualitative Reading Inventory (QRI,) The Brigance, Woodcock Johnson,
Curriculum-Based Assessment for Writing (CBA,) as well as the Math Predictors Test.
During this time, I planned, modified, and cotaught the Maryland State Curriculum in Reading, Math, Social
Studies, and Science as well as modifying written portions included in the student’s Unified Arts classes.
I taught small group reading and math intervention programs to students who were performing at below grade-
level expectations.

June 2009 to July 2015
Provided individualized instruction to students based on their goals and objectives.
Planned, instructed, and worked in small groups and one-on-one with students who qualified for ESY. Instruction
included, reading, writing, math, and behavior management goals.

Planned and instructed 4th and 5th grade regular education students and students with learning difficulties in math,
