skills instruction and remediation to students with severe emotional disabilities. Successfully transitioned
students into the regular classroom using a collaborative model of instruction and behavior management.

K-3 Intensive Academic Support Teacher - successfully participated in the implementation of a pilot
program that supported at risk learners in the regular education classroom through the use of a collaborative
model of instruction. Taught reading in small groups using the Reading Mastery curriculum, Dolch word
attack and best practice methodology. Served on the school curriculum and crisis committees.

K-5 Intensive Behavioral Support Teacher - facilitated a self-contained classroom in support of the
academic needs of students with behavioral disabilities. The modeling and teaching of positive behavior
self-management tools, empirically based academic and social skill strategies, and the provision of
scaffolding and support resulted in the successful inclusion of my students in the mainstream environment.
