Teaching Experience
I have had three types of diverse classroom structure experiences in my short teaching career. I
completed my student teaching in a self-contained classroom. My first teaching year, I taught math,
science, and economics to two classes. Then, due to new leadership, my school changed to a period
schedule where I taught mathematics to three classes each year.
Teacher, Fifth Grade, Justice Thurgood Marshall Intermediate, Marion, IN (Aug. 2012- May 2015)
● Experienced a wide range of students’ skill and ability (Gifted/talented, low-performing, special education, high-performing)
● Differentiated instruction for a group of gifted/talented students using ipads
● Taught three groups of special education inclusion classes and attended numerous case conferences as the general education

● Implemented four project-based learning activities in a high-ability classroom

● Managed and designed graphics to display the fifth grade monthly testing data
