Student Brawls
2. Definition
Student’s brawl is a term of fight or broil
done by groups of students. Because of
unimportant/important thing that leads
to a clash/quarrel.
3. Factors
* Individual factors :
- They are still searching their identity or ideology, they
are curious.
- Some students consider violence as entertaiment,
brawling is something exciting and enjoyable.
- Many parents do not have good communication with
these students.
- Brawling is seen as a way to hide and run from that
problem.
- Environment determines personality of a person, and
students get in touch with wrong friends. Wrong
friends can lead students into wrong behavior.
4. *Group factors :
- Students who group themeselves in a gang
usually want to show off how strong their
group is, and have very high solidarity.
We think, that’s not the
exact way to show
solidarity. We maybe
should help people who
suffer injuries or disaster,
also help orphan, etc.
5. Impacts
* Students :
- Suffer from injuries, or even death, he/she is often labeled
as a bad boy/ girl.
- People think he/she will bring a bad influence, and they will
stay away from him/her.
- He/she will make his/her parents feel ashamed because the
society may think that they fail to educate their
son/daughter.
- They has to be brought to court and even sent to jail.
* Parents :
- Feel depressed and useless because of having a
son/daughter brawling.
* School :
- School will have bad reputation, hence people are
reluctant to send their children to study there.
6. Qor ’an Says
“And the people who hurt mu’min, whether
that’s man or woman, without something
wrong they have done, so the people who
hurting mu’min people will carry on real
falsehood and sin on their shoulders.” (Al-
Ahzab: 58)
“ People who are hurting other, (they) don’t
have rescuer.” (Al-Hajj: 71)
7. Prevention
* Students :
- Students have to fill their spare time with useful thing that interest
them them such a joining extracurricular, making a study group,
taking a course, etc.
- Choose the right friends, right friends will guide students into the
right path, wrong friends will guide them into the wrong path.
* School :
- School authority can reduce this by providing a facility to aspirate
student’s aggresion, for example making a lot of extracurricular or
non-academic activities such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, etc.
- Provide counseling facility that can be a place for students to
express and solve their problems.
- Help nurture long-lasting positive values to students( greeting,
respecting, valuing, and treating students equally).
* Adult People :
- Set a good example.
8. Solution
To solve the protracted problems of brawling, we
shouldn’t blame the students only, but parents, schools,
society, and the government who should play a role.
Parents need to raise children with love and trust,
teaching them norms and moral values, strengthening and
discipline, and giving them appreciation for their good deed.
They also need to make their home as a nice place for family
gathering.
9. The solutions has been given by the
government are Sunday Morning Ceremony
(can improve our patriotism), extracurricular
that is very useful for us, and also with
Pramuka Activity (can improve our survive-
ability). So we as good students, we should
follow all of them as our needing.
11. Conclusion
• Students as good children and people, should
hardly avoid in following brawling with filling
their spare time with something useful.
• Adults should give a good example to the
younger to avoid brawling by students.
• Brawling is not necessary and can give bad
impacts and much injuries.
