Focus Group
Focus Group
I started my focus group with my friends parents
Jane and Sean. This is because they fitted the
C1-C2 income bracket and where also middle
aged and had a family.
Jane and Sean said they thought that
incorporating the color blue in my newspaper
would be a good idea as this ties in with the city
color. They also said that focusing the story’s on
local matters will be better for my sales.
Focus Group
My next two people where called Gary and Julie
these where family friends who I also questioned
on my newspaper.
Gary and Julie said that a good way of getting
the locals to want to buy my newspaper would be
to include free gifts sometimes winning a holiday
and other things such as scratch cards.
They said this will help keep people entertained
and wanting to continue to buy my newspaper.
Focus Group
My third couple where George and Sarah, mid
30’s with two s young children.
George and Sarah said that having a radio
advert would be extremely beneficial to my
newspaper as I can target my audience really
clearly and make them want to buy the
newspaper.
They also said that ‘on your billboard poster keep
it clean and not too many photos this way people
can see the brand logo and the name and
identify with it’.
Focus Group
My fourth couple where my auntie and uncle
Claire and Bernard.
They both agreed that on my billboard poster I
should not cram too much information on it and I
should make my logo and name clear for people
to recognize, they also said that with my radio
advert I should have some kind of music to keep
the audience listening ‘like in the go-compare TV
advert’.
Focus Group
From my focus group I have found out a lot more
information about what I should do with my radio
advert and billboard poster, I have also gathered
some useful information as to what I should
include in my newspaper.
The focus group has given me a clearer direction
as to what It is I am aiming to put together for
newspaper, poster and radio advert.
