chosen this age group as my film will be a
15 certificate. Also the film’s content
contains some violence and will appeal
more to this age range. They will also
have a good understanding of the content.

My film will be aimed primarily at a male
audience as my chosen genre of crime is
aimed more towards a male audience. But my
film will be open to both genres. I feel the
context of the violence and the overall
message will be more male driven.

The way I am thinking of exhibiting my short
film is a made for TV film which will be
shown as part of a channel’s short film
program this can then be uploaded on-line
for my audience to access whenever they
please.

Buckingham groupings
The audience grouping I am targeting is Post-Modernists as I
fit into this grouping myself and feel I can create a film
meeting their tastes. My film will connect with postmodernists as I will be creating a pastiche production by
paying homage to other media texts and directors. I have also
chosen to target post-modernists as I want them to actively
seek out my film as I want them to view my message instead
of being passive and have it “injected”. The Pete
Buckingham audience group I am targeting is film fanatics
as I am making a film that will connect to them as they will
more than likely have seen the texts and works of others I
will be paying homage to.
